Last year, Oak Park collected just over 100 boxes for Operation Christmas Child. This year, we’re hoping to beat that record! We’re collecting earlier than usual with November 15 as the deadline for boxes to be returned. This gives us time to send them to Samaritan’s Purse for their November box drive. The Missions Committee has generously agreed to cover the $12 shipping cost for every box collected.

Boxes and instructions are available at Oak Park now!

This week, Alvin brought our Enough sermon series home. He reminded us that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives and resides in us.

Like… actually in us.
Right here. Right now.

The God of the Bible chooses to be close. He chooses to make His home in and through us.

The Spirit of God isn’t just something we learn about on Sundays. He is present. He is here. He lives in us.

Right here. Right now. 🤍

Thank you to Pastor Lane for sharing the Word with us on Sunday and reminding us of our baptism: we are drowned in His grace. We are sons and daughters of God and have nothing to prove.

Alan Noble says, “Your true identity is not a publicly projected image that requires regular maintenance, upgrades and optimization.”

Can we trust God to remake us through His grace? We need to work on our identity’s consistency with each circle of influence we find ourselves in. Luke 12:3 says “What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight.”

You are enough, for God has made you that way. •

ICYMI last week we welcomed Delaney Anderson who will be joining Oak Park as our Youth Intern for the year! You may recognize her from Pine Lake Camp where she has been on staff the past few years. We are excited to have a familiar face around, and she is looking forward to building connections within our Youth Ministry, alongside Trevor and the team!

Thank you to Kyle for sharing the Word with us on Sunday as you wrap up your time at Oak Park!

Digging into Revelation 3:14-22, we’re reminded that:
- Jesus is revealing what is really real.
- The need for comfort is the need for control
- We need to cover ourselves up in Jesus’ works

Kyle and Skylar, we wish you all the best in your semester and future! Don’t be strangers!

Thank you Pastor Lane for reminding us of Jesus’ love for us.

He doesn’t promise us that He will take the struggles we are facing away. He doesn’t promise us promise, however, that when we are faced with challenges, He will not leave us alone; He will always be with us in the midst of it.
