Communication & Preaching | Leading & Managing Ministry

Jump in with us this fall—we'd love to have you join us for a week of learning about intentional leadership that flows from alignment, authenticity, and a deep commitment to both character and calling.

Mark Buchanan brings depth and clarity to preaching and communication that is both grounding and transformative. He emphasizes growing deep in Christ rather than chasing quick success. Registration is now open! https://acop.ca/epic-2-0/

Rev. Wes Mills had the honour of presenting the ACOP Distinguished Service Award to Barb Metz, posthumously, for her late husband, Rev. Ernie Metz.

Both of Ernie's children, Cheryl and Larry, and his three grandchildren were able to be present for the presentation. We are grateful for the legacy Ernie left in both his family and his ministry. "One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts."—Psalm 145:4

I’m purposefully going to the mall, and I’m trying to make an area/district “my place.” Much like Francis of Assisi, I’m trying to be that—a person who is known by the “place” they love and serve. I’ll be a brother and a friend to the people I see regularly. I make it my aim to be there (at least once a week), and really cool connections are coming out of that.

There’s a house of prayer here, and I’m meeting people from all over the world, even underground, secret believers who’ve come, and we’re praying together. And somehow, I’m in the middle of it! I received another invitation to a different prayer meeting (not in my language), but I just felt it on my heart to attend—it’s a prayer meeting after all!

I met more new friends and was invited to a Conference; I didn’t realize that this Conference was being live-fed to other countries across the 10-40 window. Across the feeds, we could see people worshipping in other places, testifying about Jesus. In the room I was in, there were 250 people with me, united in heart to bring the message of the Gospel to the nations. It was so exciting and encouraging!

Sitting next to me, I met a man who said, “I lived my life for myself for a long time, but I knew something was missing. I came to this conference a few years ago, and felt the call, and in obedience went on a short-term trip to the country I felt led to go.” As soon as the name of the country left his lips, I could see the tears running down his face with love for the country and people he was called to. “I can never go back to the way I lived my life. Once I lived and worked among the unreached, I realized that this is what I was created to do. My life only makes sense sharing the Gospel.”

I can’t begin to express how God is working (especially) in the young people in the 10-40 window! Please pray for them. We are not alone in living our lives for the sake of the Gospel!

Happy 30th Anniversary to Grace Japanese Christian Church! This important fellowship of believers meets every Sunday at the Banff Full Gospel Church.

"I thank my god every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now."

I didn't grow up thinking church was anything other than some songs and Bible reading, and a sermon from behind a pulpit.

Now I know different. And it changes everything.

Because church is a group of teenagers giving up two weeks of their summer to go into new communities and serve in ways that stretch them and teach them that loving like Jesus means having patience for kids who won't listen. And it pretty much never looks like you think it will.

Church is people giving up their Friday night after a chaotic week to serve food and clean up messes and talk with new friends.

Church is eating tacos in a bag and cupcakes with people from countries around the globe.

Don't get me wrong...

I love the singing and the preaching and the Bible reading and the praying. But I also love the games and the eating together, and the run-off-your-feet tired that comes from living life with a bunch of amazing people who are willing to do whatever it takes to really love people as Jesus did.

Those are the best kind of tears.

Jesus, what can we offer but our time and longing for relationship?

When we keep our focus on Jesus in prayer, we experience the real power, which is understanding that we cannot help ourselves. (Luke 18:9-14) It's true in each of our personal lives, but it's also true of our ministry lives.

Fall is a very busy time, and we're here for it! We see you as you lead, as you follow His call, as you shine the light of Jesus in your community. But don't let your busy keep you from Jesus. Would you consider joining us in prayer September 7 - 11th? We'll join the Global Church in lifting the name of Jesus during the 24-7 Global Week of Prayer.

🙏 Join online at 9 AM MST, Monday - Friday (Sept 7 - 11) for 30 minutes of prayer.

You are important to us.

Jesus said, "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."

You know your calling. You know your community. And you know the places you are called to go—prisons, hospitals, streets, coffee shops, and countless places in between. But most importantly, you know you've been sent to the lost.

And you refuse to be stopped. We love that about you.

So let us serve you. Let us walk alongside you, sharpen one another’s skills, grow in unity, and strengthen one another for the work God has entrusted to us.

Because the Church was never meant to be a collection of individuals working alone. We are a living, moving body—joined together, equipped, and sent to carry the love of Jesus into the world.

Let’s walk together. Let’s grow together. Let’s go together.

The Rapha House, a true ministry miracle! After extensive renovations, we officially opened our doors in March.

The Rapha House is a sanctuary where individuals can find restoration for their spirit, soul, and body. We offer ongoing discipleship, prayer ministry, a wellness room, accommodations for visitors, and various seminars designed to uplift and empower.

We have already welcomed guests from the Republic of Moldova, England, and various cities across Romania. They come to receive personal ministry and experience the peace that our sanctuary offers.

Our monthly worship nights have grown tremendously, requiring us to host them in larger venues, such as local churches, to accommodate the increasing attendance.

This summer, we’re excited to launch two “Schools of Ministry” due to overwhelming interest!

Father’s House: a safe haven for children

We are blessed to have welcomed two new siblings into our Father’s House family. Abandoned by their mother outside the city hall, they have quickly adapted to their loving new home, filled with nourishing food, clean clothes, and joyful toys.

We also support a devoted single mother caring for her severely disabled foster son, Mihai, who continues to thrive against all odds thanks to her unwavering love.

This month, we celebrated Gabriel’s graduation! Once an abandoned child adopted by a dedicated single father, Gabriel has become an electrical engineer and is now giving back to his community, embodying the transformative power of love and support.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ )

Thank you for supporting us in bringing hope and healing to those in need.
