A Street in Berlin Will Never Let the World Forget
In a powerful act of remembrance, Berlin is renaming a street near its parliament after “Yad Vashem” — Israel’s Holocaust memorial and museum.
The stretch of Dorotheenstrasse in the Mitte district will officially become Yad-Vashem-Strasse — and the location couldn’t be more significant. The street borders Wilhelmstrasse, once the nerve center of N**i power, where the persecution and mass murder of the Jewish people was planned and coordinated. The Reich Chancellery and Reich Security Main Office once stood there.
The official renaming ceremony is set for January 20, 2027 — the 85th anniversary of the Wannsee Conference, where senior N**i officials sat around a table and plotted the Final Solution.
On that very street, in that very city, the name Yad Vashem will now stand — permanently, in stone.
Germany is saying loudly and clearly: we remember. We will never forget. And we will never allow it to happen again. 🇮🇱🕍
