First Evangelical Free Church, Calgary Service in English (simultaneous translation in Portuguese and Spanish) We are located on Elbow Drive in the block between 54th & 55th Ave. S.W.

At First Free Church we believe that God has placed us here in Calgary to influence our city and impact this world by making fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. We want to be a church where visitors are welcomed as friends and cared for as family. We invite you to check out our website to learn more about who we are and what we have to offer. And we would love to have you check in on us either on a Sunday morning or during one of our weekly program activities. Perhaps we can serve you and your family. Meet Violeta! 🌲

She's one of the amazing guides making VBS 2026 possible — and this is why she's showing up:

"I am serving at VBS because every child deserves to understand that they are loved by an unfailing Father and that praising Him can be super fun!"

We're so grateful for volunteers like Violeta who give their time and heart so kids can encounter God this summer. 🙌

Meet Gabe! 🌲

A familiar face in our Kids Ministry — and this summer, he's going all in:

"I have been a long time volunteer at the Kids Ministry, but until now the contact has been limited to one hour on Sunday. I am excited to be able to spend more consistent time to get to know these kids and help them learn more about God through stories, games, crafts, and songs!"

That's the heart behind VBS — more time, deeper connections, and a whole week of adventures with Jesus. We're so glad you're part of the team, Gabe! 🙌

🔥 We often say "give Jesus a chance",
but Peter flips it: God is giving YOU a chance.

And that window won't stay open forever.

Don't take it for granted.

💬 What are you doing with the opportunity God has given you?

05/07/2026

God's timing is not slowness, it's patience.
Every moment is a window of opportunity to surrender before He returns.
Don't miss it.

Ser vigilante começa com a oração.
Ela nos mantém acordados espiritualmente, focados no que realmente importa.
Esteja desperto. Esteja pronto.

Are you excited to have fun with us? 🤍

Who sits on the throne of your heart? ✝️
We often look for something to blame… but the Gospel calls us to something deeper. It calls us to surrender.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20
This is the beauty and the weight of the cross. Not only did Jesus die for us… we were there with Him. Our old self, our sin, our past — all nailed to the cross.
And through Him, we are no longer slaves. We are free.
This is not just a message to hear… it’s a truth to live.
Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM and experience the power of a life fully surrendered to Christ.
You are welcome here. 🤍✝️
