Ever been driving on a dirt road when someone kicks up dust in front of you? Suddenly, you can’t see clearly. That’s what happens when we let our emotions and flesh lead us instead of God’s Spirit.

James 1:19 reminds us to be “quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.” When relationships stir up dust—through hurt, disappointment, or unmet expectations—we have a choice. We can react from our flesh, or we can pause in His presence.

David modeled this beautifully in Psalm 3. Facing immense pressure, he paused—“Selah”—and shifted his focus from problems to God’s faithfulness. That pause changed everything.

This week, when emotions rise, don’t push them down or let them navigate you. Instead, let them be indicators pointing you to pause in God’s presence. Let the dust settle. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into love, peace, and patience instead of regret.

Are you running on empty or are you FULL?
This Sunday we tackled a game-changing question: Are you TRYING to live for God, or are you TRAINING like an athlete? Romans 13 reminds us to wake up and make NO PROVISION for the flesh. That means no room for anger, gossip, lust, or envy. But it’s not just about what we keep out—it’s about what we PUT IN.

When life’s pressures come crashing down, an empty can gets crushed. But when you’re filled with God’s Word, prayer, worship, and community, you can withstand anything. Don’t just try to avoid the flesh—train intentionally. Fill yourself with His presence so you can run the race God has set before you.

What are you filling yourself with today? The choice determines whether you’re crushed or you overflow with His strength.

New series alert: Let the Dust Settle! This month we’re diving into the battle between flesh and Spirit. You know that part of you that does what you don’t want to do? The outbursts, the jealousy, the scrolling that leaves you empty? That’s the flesh.
But there’s good news: Romans 8:6 promises that “to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Transformation doesn’t come from willpower or trying harder. It comes from letting God’s Word plant itself in your heart like a seed, nurturing it with patience, and walking step by step with the Holy Spirit as your guide.

The fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control - isn’t just for you. It blesses everyone around you: your kids, your spouse, your coworkers. It’s worth the war.

Join us as we learn to walk in the Spirit and let the dust settle.

What looked like chaos was actually completion. What seemed final was actually finished.
This Easter, we discover a powerful detail in the resurrection story: a folded burial cloth. While grave robbers would have left chaos, Jesus intentionally folded the cloth that covered His face—a quiet signal that this wasn’t panic, but purpose. From the cross to the empty tomb, every detail mattered to God. Every detail of YOUR life matters to Him too.

The same Jesus who conquered death and carefully folded that cloth cares about the smallest moments in your journey. Nothing is too big or too small to bring to Him. He finished what He started on the cross, and He’ll finish what He’s started in you. The resurrection changed everything—it means God walks with you every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, not just on Sundays.

He is risen! And because He lives, you can face tomorrow with hope, knowing the God of details sees you, loves you, and will never leave you.

What looked like chaos was actually completion. What seemed final was actually finished.
When Peter and John reached the empty tomb on that first Easter morning, they found something unexpected—Jesus’ burial cloth, carefully folded and set aside. No grave robber takes time to fold linens. This wasn’t chaos. This was intentional. This was God’s steady hand completing His redemptive plan.

The same God who paid attention to the smallest detail of folding that cloth in the midst of conquering death—He sees YOU. Your struggles aren’t too small for Him. Your concerns matter to Him. The resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead is available in your life today.

What feels final in your life? God specializes in turning “final” into “finished.” He finishes what He starts. Death didn’t end Jesus—Jesus ended death. And He’s not done with you yet.

1 Peter 5:7 - “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.”
