On Monday, June 22, 2026 (7th Muharram ul Haram 1448), Majlis-e-Aza commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Qasim ibn Hasan (A.S.) was held at the Hussaini Association of Calgary.

The program commenced at 8:15 PM with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Salawat-o-Salam and Marsiya recitation. The Majlis was addressed by Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Qibla Allama Ghulam Hur Shabbiri Sahib.

After the Majlis, the Hussaini Matami Dasta performed Noha Khwani and Matam. Salat-ul-Maghribain was offered in congregation, and arrangements were made for take-out Tabarruk for all attendees. Sabeels serving refreshments were also organized for the Momineen.

May Allah (SWT) accept the عزاداری of all participants and grant us the tawfeeq to continue serving the mission of Imam Hussain (A.S.).

The 6th Muharram Ul Haram 1448 AH (2026) Majlis-e-Aza, commemorating the Shahadat of Hazrat Ali Asghar (A.S.), was held at Hussaini Association of Calgary and commenced at 8:15 PM with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

Following the Tilawat-e-Kalam-e-Pak, Salam and Marsiya were presented. The Majlis was addressed by Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Qibla Allama Ghulam Hur Shabbiri Sahib (UK), who delivered a moving lecture highlighting the sacrifice and message of Karbala.

During the Majlis, the Shabih-e-Gahwara (symbolic cradle) of Hazrat Ali Asghar (A.S.) was brought out, creating a deeply emotional atmosphere among the mourners. Various Momineen participated in Noha Khwani and Matam in remembrance of the martyrs of Karbala.

A large number of Momineen and Mominaat attended the gathering, offered their prayers, fulfilled their vows, and prayed for the acceptance of their supplications.

Salat-ul-Maghribain was offered in congregation, followed by the distribution of take-out Tabarruk.

May Allah accept our عزاداری and grant us the tawfeeq to continue honoring the message and sacrifices of Karbala. 🤲🖤

May Allah grant us the tawfeeq to honour the sacrifices of Karbala and keep us among the true followers of Imam Hussain (A.S.).

Today, the 5th Muharram-ul-Haram 1448 AH (2026), the Majlis-e-Aza was held at Hussaini Association of Calgary.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by Salam and Marsiya. The Majlis was addressed by Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Allama Ghulam Hur Shabbiri Sahib, who delivered the sermon and highlighted the message and sacrifices of Karbala.

After the conclusion of the Majlis, Hussaini Matami Dasta performed Noha Khwani and Matamdari. Salat-ul-Maghribain was offered in congregation.

Arrangements were also made for Sabeel in the name of Imam Hussain (A.S.), and tabarruk was distributed among the attendees.

Today’s tabarruk was generously sponsored by Jabbar Bhai and his brothers on behalf of their family. They have requested Surah Al-Fatiha for the Isal-e-Sawab of all their marhoomeen (departed family members).

May Allah (SWT) accept their contribution and grant all the marhoomeen the highest ranks in Jannat, and may He continue to bless us with the tawfeeq to serve in the path of Imam Hussain (A.S.). Ameen.
