Your sanctification rests finally not on the strength of your grip on God, but on the faithfulness of His grip on you. The Father began His saving work through Christ and will carry it to completion. That promise does not make us passive; it makes us hopeful, prayerful, and persistent when growth feels slow. Grace finishes what grace begins.

Time in church does not automatically produce maturity. Hebrews warns believers who had years of exposure to truth but still needed the basics. We grow only as Christ’s Word moves from something we merely hear to truth we trust, obey, and teach. Ask today: Has the gospel merely informed me—or is Christ transforming me?

Spiritual growth is moving beyond simply knowing about God to actually being shaped by His Word.

God calls us to grow in understanding, discernment, and obedience. We do not mature by our own strength. God graciously works through His Word to transform us and make us more like Christ.

Christian maturity is not measured by platform, vocabulary, or years of service. God’s standard is Christlikeness—and none of us has arrived. Yet the risen Christ gives His Word, His Spirit, and His church to shape His people together. Growth is personal, but never private: we mature as one body under one Head, Jesus Christ.
