Ever feel like everyone else is moving forward while you’re standing still?

Someone got the job.
Someone found their person.

Here’s your reminder today:

YOUR LIFE IS NOT BEHIND SCHEDULE.

A closed door doesn’t mean God has forgotten you.
A delay doesn’t mean you’ve missed your opportunity.

Sometimes the greatest growth happens when progress isn’t visible.

God is preparing. Growing. Redirecting. 🙏

Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us that God makes everything beautiful in its time.

You don’t need the whole plan figured out.

Just trust Him with the next step.

What if the unexpected is preparing us for something greater? 🙌❤️

What a season it’s been for our Hope Church family!

With unexpected challenges, including a flood in our church building, we’ve been reminded of something powerful: Our plans may change, but God’s faithfulness never does.

And what better time to launch our NEW sermon series, OPEN HANDS! 🙌

Over the coming weeks, we’re exploring what it really means to live with open hands:

🙏 Surrendering what we cannot control
🌱 Stewarding what God has entrusted to us
🙌 Trusting His provision

Because living with open hands isn’t just about what we give. It’s about what we’re willing to trust God with.

Our circumstances may be uncertain, but our God is faithful.

You can be surrounded by conversations, laughter, friends, and even family, yet still feel like nobody really sees you.

Sometimes the loneliest moments aren’t when we’re alone. They’re when we’re surrounded by people but feel disconnected, unheard, or forgotten.

But here’s something we hope you’ll remember today:

You are NEVER invisible to God.

He sees the struggles you don’t talk about, the tears nobody notices, and the moments when you wonder if anyone truly understands.

And while God meets us in those quiet moments, He also created us for connection. Sometimes His love shows up through a friend who checks in, a community that makes room for us, or one honest conversation that reminds us we’re not alone.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” — Psalm 34:18

❤️ You are seen.
❤️ You are known.
❤️ You are loved by God.

And at Hope Church YYC, we want you to know there’s a place for you to belong, connect, and do life with others.

Maybe today is the day to reach out to someone, or let someone reach out to you.

Because we were never meant to walk through life alone.

Ever been surrounded by people and still felt completely alone? 😞

You can have hundreds of followers, a busy social calendar, people around you every day, and still feel like nobody really knows you.

Because being around people isn’t the same as being connected to people.

And loneliness isn’t always about having nobody around. Sometimes it’s about feeling unseen, unheard, or like you don’t truly belong.

Here’s something worth remembering:

God never designed us to do life alone.

From the very beginning, God created us for relationships. Even Jesus surrounded Himself with people and walked through life with them.

Ephesians 4:16 reminds us that we grow and build one another up in love.

And that’s what real community is about.

♥️ Having people who notice when you’re missing.
♥️ Having a safe place to be yourself.
♥️ Walking through life’s highs and lows together.
♥️ Knowing you have something meaningful to contribute.

Together isn’t just about showing up. It’s about showing up for one another.

At Hope Church YYC, we believe church is more than a Sunday service. It’s a place to build friendships, grow in faith, and find people to do life with.

And if you’ve been feeling disconnected or wondering where you belong, there’s room for you here.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

What if the pain you’re going through has a purpose greater than you can see right now?

Hebrews 12:2 tells us that Jesus endured the cross “for the joy set before Him.”

Think about that.

Jesus didn’t endure the cross because it was easy. He endured unimaginable suffering because He knew the greater purpose on the other side.

Yet sometimes, we struggle with the smallest inconveniences. Being asked to show up on time. A little discomfort. Even losing our Wi-Fi! 😅

So here’s a question worth sitting with:

What are you connecting your pain to?

Because when we connect our struggles to something greater than ourselves, our perspective begins to change.

This Thanksgiving Sunday, Pastor Abe shared a powerful message, “The Formula for Joy,” reminding us that joy isn’t simply about having an easy life. It’s about living with purpose, practicing gratitude, loving people, and keeping God at the centre.
