One thing. One focus. Jesus Christ.✝️

Life is full of distractions, but as followers of Jesus, we’re called to keep our eyes fixed on what matters most.👀

In Philippians 3:13–14, Paul reminds us to leave behind what is past and press forward toward the goal of knowing Christ and becoming more like Him.

Christ is the One Thing worth pursuing above all else.

What’s distracting you from pursuing Christ today? 🤔

Following Jesus isn’t always comfortable, but He is always worthy.

In Philippians 1:29–30, the Apostle Paul reminds us that following Jesus is more than simply believing in Him. It’s about standing firm in our faith and remaining faithful to Christ, even when following Him comes at a cost.

But how can Paul describe suffering for Christ as a gift?
Because Christ is greater than our suffering.

Jesus humbled Himself, willingly went to the cross, died for our sins, and rose again. Through Him, we have a hope that is greater than anything this world can offer.

And now, He calls us to follow Him.

As followers of Jesus, we’re called to live out the gospel, share our faith, and make disciples. Not because the journey will always be easy, but because Christ is worthy.

Our mission as a Church cannot be built around comfort. It must be built around Christ.

The Christian life isn’t about avoiding hardship. It’s about trusting Jesus, standing firm in our faith, and remembering who we are following.

Have you ever stopped to think about how everything around us points back to God?

From the smallest details of creation to the vastness of the universe, nothing exists by accident.

Q5: What else did God create?

A: God created all things by his powerful Word, and all his creation was very good; everything flourished under his loving rule.

Creation isn’t just something God made. It reveals His power, wisdom, goodness, and care.

And when we look at the world around us, we’re reminded that the same God who spoke everything into existence is the One who continues to sustain it.

Everything was created with purpose, and everything was created for His glory.

Even in a world affected by sin, we can still see glimpses of God’s goodness through what He has made.

STAND FIRM IN THE FAITH. 🙌

It’s easy to stand firm when life is going well. But what happens when following Jesus becomes difficult?

In Philippians 1:27–30, Paul reminds us that we are called to live lives worthy of the gospel, even when following Christ comes at a cost.

As followers of Jesus, our identity is found in Christ.

We aren’t defined by our circumstances, our achievements, or what others think of us. We belong to Jesus, and that truth changes how we live, how we face challenges, and how we love others.

And here’s the reminder: We were never meant to stand firm alone.

Paul calls us to stand together, united in faith, striving side by side for the gospel.

Our circumstances may change, but our identity in Christ and the gospel we stand on never do.

What if our responsibility was to be faithful, and the results were God’s?

We spend so much of our lives worrying about how things will turn out.

Will we have enough financially? Will our health improve? Will things work out the way we’ve planned?
We pray, we make plans, and we do our best to prepare for what’s ahead.

Yet so much of life remains outside of our control.

In Philippians 1:18–20, Paul reminds us of a different perspective.

Even while imprisoned and facing an uncertain future, Paul’s greatest desire wasn’t to control what happened next.

It was that Christ would be magnified through his life, whatever the outcome.

And that’s a reminder for us today.
We aren’t called to have every answer, control every circumstance, or guarantee every outcome.

We’re called to trust God, remain faithful, and live in a way that points others to Jesus.

That doesn’t mean we stop planning, praying, or taking responsibility. It means recognizing that while we are responsible for our faithfulness, the results ultimately belong to God.

Our circumstances may be uncertain, but our purpose doesn’t have to be.

Where in your life are you learning to trust God with the outcome? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. 👇

What if glorifying God mattered more than changing your circumstances?

Paul was writing from prison. His future was uncertain, and he didn’t know what would happen next.

Yet in Philippians 1:18–20, his greatest concern wasn’t his own comfort or circumstances.

It was that Christ would be honoured and glorified.

That’s a challenging perspective, especially when life doesn’t go the way we planned.

When finances are uncertain, when our health is a concern, when the future feels unclear, or when we’re simply waiting for answers that haven’t come.

It’s easy to speak about trusting Jesus when things are going well. But what about when we don’t know how things will turn out?

Living to magnify Christ means that even in the midst of uncertainty, our lives can still point others to Him.

Not because we have all the answers. Not because everything is going our way.

But because our hope is ultimately found in Jesus, not in the certainty of our circumstances.

You weren’t created by accident. You were created with purpose.

In a world that constantly tells us to find our own purpose, Scripture reminds us that our purpose begins with the One who created us.

Q4: How and why did God create us?
A: God created us male and female in his own image to know him, love him, live with him, and glorify him. And it is right that we who were created by God should live to his glory.

We were created in God’s image, not because of anything we’ve accomplished, but because He intentionally made us to reflect Him.

Our lives were never meant to revolve around ourselves. We were created to know God, walk with Him, and reflect His goodness in the way we live and love others.

And when we understand who created us, we begin to understand what we’re living for.

📖 Genesis 1:27

As you reflect on this, consider:

Are you living for the purpose God created you for, or the purpose the world tells you to pursue?

What if your hardest season is actually an opportunity for the Gospel to move forward?

Paul was in prison. His circumstances were far from ideal, yet his faith remained firmly rooted in Christ.

In Philippians 1:12–14, Paul reminds us that even his imprisonment served a greater purpose: the advancement of the Gospel and to bring Him glory!

What looked like a setback became an opportunity for others to hear about Jesus. And through Paul’s faithfulness, other believers found the courage to speak God’s Word more boldly.

The same can be true for us today.

Following Jesus doesn’t mean life will always be easy. But even in seasons of uncertainty, hardship, or waiting, God can still be at work.

Our circumstances may change, but the power of the Gospel does not.

💬 What’s one way you’ve seen God work through a difficult season in your life? We’d love to hear your story in the comments.
