We enjoyed such a glorious time in church at Purpose Intl Worship Centre Calgary last night as we celebrated Thanksgiving ahead of today's National Thanksgiving Day/Holiday.
Know and remember this:
We have been called into Priesthood. A Core Part of our work is OFFERING PLEASANT SACRIFICES to the LORD. But we do not offer those of bulls & goats; THANKSGIVING, PRAYERS, WORSHIP and the presentation and dedication of our lives and bodies are the sacrifices we offer daily- they have replaced those of animals.....our lives of Praise has become a BURNING INCENSE of SWEET SMELLING SAVOR & FRAGRANCE before the Lord!

Be a thankful, grateful person. Thank The Lord always, count your blessings- His Nlessings upon your life and loved ones. Be appreciative and give praise to God ALWAYS!

The Hidden Man of The Heart; Pt 2.

"...but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."
1 Peter 3:4 KJV.

Dearly Beloved, as we saw in yesterday's devotional, your real self, your person, from which flows your personality and character is a spirit which lives inside your body. Hence, you are a spirit, you have a soul and live in a body, which is a temple or tabernacle of dwelling by your Spirit.
When you received the life of Christ into your heart l, you were born again to a birth that is different and infinitely higher than your precious natural birth. This is a spiritual birth, a divine birth, a regeneration of your spirit man, infused with the life of God; All the abilities of God were deposited into your spirit and (your spirit) is meant to grow and produce godly, Christ-like virtues as you continue in fellowship and intimate relationship with His Word, spirit and divine presence . All of these qualities , character and attributes of the Godhead lie as potentials inside your spirit, which is your hidden man. It is hidden because it is a spirit and cannot be seen. When people see your body , they are looking at your house, your tabernacle, not your spirit. Your body was given to you for both identification and to enable you function and live on the earth.
However, the personality of your spirit can be seen as it expresses its life through your mortal or physical body and display of your character and abilities.
Seeing that you are a spirit being, albeit living in a physical body, your life does not flow or proceed from outside but from inside, from within your spirit. We said this is "lving from within or from inside".
Jesus, speaking in Matthew Chapter 15, explained that a person is defiled by what he/she allows to proceed from within their hearts; He was referring to the state, spiritual condition of their inner or hidden man. He said,
"But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what makes a man unclean and defiles [him]. For out of the heart come evil thoughts (reasonings and disputings and designs) such as murder, adultery, sexual vice, theft, false witnessing, slander, and irreverent speech. These are what make a man unclean and defile [him]..." Matthew 15:18‭-‬20 AMPC .
Jesus was saying here that there are things which if you let them proceed from within your heart, which is your inward or hidden man, they will defile you. The word defile is from the Greek work koinoo', which means to pollute, profane or (make) unclean". It is absolutely true that the sacrifice of Jesus has cleansed us from our sins, but if we continue to feed our hidden man with unclean things, they are inappropriate for the spiritual conditioning of our regenerated hearts, and will flow out from within us l, expressed as sins, bad character and wrong virtues which do not glorify God or match our new life nor reflective of and inconsistent with our righteous nature.
It is therefore important that we mind and put a check on our exposure - the things we expose our hearts to. They gain entrance into our hidden man through our thoughts, what we read, see or watch, the things we hear and where we go. And like our human bodies, you are what you eat; the things you eat will show up in how you look and the health condition of your body. So it is with your hidden man of the heart. What you feed to it and feed it to, will either make it strong or weak, pure or defiled…whatever it is filled with, will overflow in your words, attitudes and actions and they will either glorify God, edify you or defile you and corrupt others around you! In our opening text, we are charged by God to be intent on beautifying and adorning our inward hidden man with the virtues of godliness, which produces in us, a spiritual taste that God himself takes great pleasure and delight in.
For this reason, we are lovingly but firmly admonished in scriptures to meditate or think, ponder and consider only things that are pure, holy, acts of glorification (that is, glorifying the Father, and speaking well of our union, oneness, identification and fellowship with him), and this is an instruction and admonition of and UNDER GRACE, by the Apostle of Grace, Paul himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit…..
"For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. Philippians 4:8 AMPC.
Remember that this is written to believers, because we have the capacity to do these things as instructed, through the power of the Spirit of Grace that dwells in our hidden man! Believers who do not do these things cannot walk accurately in God's will, because their minds are not renewed and instructed by God's word, and they do not glorify or please God, which is against the written instructions of God to us.
"Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship." Romans 12:1 TPT
This is evidently clear, that there is a response to God's grace and mercy which we have received, that id required and expected of us - a surrender of ourselves to God to be his sacred living sacrifices, living in holiness and experiencing all that delights his heart.
Beloved in Christ determine in your heart today and onwards, that by His gracious help, you will feed your spirit man with whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious; things that reflects the virtues and moral excellences of God in Christ Jesus and are worthy of praise….that you will think on and weigh and take account of these things….fix your minds on them. By doing so, your hidden man will develop, grow and mature more and more into the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ, which is God's utmost desire for you. You will see and experience the power of God exhibited and displayed in every area of your life in ever increasing splendor as you pay attention to the hidden man of your heart, which is created after God and dominantly shown forth through your body, life and affairs on earth to the world, for the praise and Glory of God!

*CONFESSION*
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your inherent ability in me to choose what is right and well pleasing to you. I choose today and always, by the gracious help and power of your holy spirit in me, to meditate on excellent, good, pure, holy and spiritually edifying things that build up my spirit man and glorifies you. I refuse to consider lying vanities at the expense of the beautification of my inner man. Though my outward man perishes, yet my inward man is renewed with Divine strength, vigor and vitality , from day to day in Jesus' name, Amen.

Maintaining Your Spiritual Forcefield Pt 5 !

"Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land." Job 1:10 NKJV.

Dearly Beloved, as we have seen from our last four editions, every child of God has a spiritual force-field around them; it’s a hedge of protection that repels the enemy, and that our hedges are activated and become expressive in our life and circumstances through revelation knowledge and our consciousness or conscious walk of Spiritual Truths in God's Word.
Be once more reminded that unless the hedge, which is a spiritual force field around the believer, is removed, satan can't hurt or successfully harm you! With better knowledge, we are armed with the truth of scriptures, that we can maintain a divine force field around us, and whatever or whoever tries to break it, does so in vain and to their own peril; for the bible declares, "He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him."Ecclesiastes 10:8 KJV.
In today's devotional, let's consider the forcefield of Faith filled Words. Words are spiritual containers of power. The Bible teaches that words aren't just an offensive spiritual weapon but a defensive weapon against Satan's scathing attacks.
For instance, The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, teaches that speaking the Word of God is a spiritual armor we need to put on, in order to "quench all the fiery darts of the wicked" (Eph 6:16). He speaks here of Faith as a "shield":
"In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the evil one!"
Ephesians 6:16 TPT
The Bible says in Romans 10:17, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (KJV).
Notice that the word "cometh" is italicized, which means it's been inserted there by the translators and not there in the original text. Literally, the verse reads, ``Faith by hearing and hearing by the Word".
So then, it means divine Words or the Word of God in the scriptures are "articles" or "particles" of faith. If you hear the word, you have the Word, and if you have the word, you have faith, and if you have Faith, you speak Faith and surround yourself with what we saw earlier in Ephesians 6:16 as the "shield", with which we quench or put out and extinguish all the fiery works of Satan against us.
A shield basically does as similar a thing as a hedge does. A shield is a person or thing providing protection , like a fence or hedge would. Hence, we can use the Word of God as a shield, a forcefield and hedge to keep evil out.
It therefore follows that the words we speak are either positively charged with the energy of God contained in His words (for as we saw, words are spiritual containers of power or energy), or negatively charged.
In Job 6:25, the bible says "how forcible are right words"! .
Words carry influence. They are spirits; to tell you how spiritual life is. Myriads of words being spoken each day gives you an indication of the spiritual interplay of spiritual forces and energies released over our lives on a daily basis. You do well to not let yourself be exposed by unchecked words you speak from your mouth. Once you speak them, you activate and empower positive creative spiritual energy around you or negative and destructive spiritual energy around you - depending on the content of your words!
The Bible speaks about us having to someday give account for every idle word we speak.
"And I tell you that on the Judgment Day people will be responsible for every careless thing they have said."
Matthew 12:36 NCV
These words of Jesus in the text above just goes to show you the importance of words, because of the effects it creates and impact or influence they have in our lives.
The forcefield of words basically controls every area of our lives; our lives and circumstances go in the direction of our words and take the shape of the things we say! And God's word is letting us know how this is possible, because energies are released with Words, they are spiritual charges and they combine to produce outcomes in and around our lives.
When we speak words of Faith, we build up and fortify and strengthen our spiritual force field which hedges and shields us against everything with the intent, desire or potential to hurt or harm and negatively influence us. But when we speak words of fear, doubt, unbelief, hate, and careless words and irrelevant jests, we polarize our spiritual forcefield, weaken it and make it ineffective in preventing invading forces of evil against our lives and that which concerns us.
The bible says, "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."
Matthew 12:37 KJV.
Our words are clouds over and around us; what you say is what will rain upon and all around you! The Bible says you shall have whatsoever you say! (see Mark 11:24). What you say and speak forms into a spiritual cloud over you and will determine your experiences (Isaiah 55:8-10).
It is therefore so important that we place a sort of "muzzle" over the words of our mouth. That's something we can learn from our opening text. Satan knew Job was a blameless man. There was a hedge around him. And one of the ways Satan saw and got an opening was to try to corrupt his words, to get to speak negatively. You have to understand that Job's misery wasn't about how powerful Satan was. He could because he got an opening…..Job himself told why or how it happened - his fears. He gave in to fear and started to confess fear, and those negatively charged words breached his hedge. He said, "Everything I feared and dreaded has happened to me." Job 3:25 NCV.
Well, it's true, for we saw how he confessed and spoke out fear in the first chapter of Job:
"....For Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed or disowned God in their hearts. Thus did Job at all [such] times.
Job 1:5 AMPC
Job kept letting in fear and spoke his fears and I'm his words, expressing fear, Satan got a leeway.
Later, Job realized this and corrected it: "Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: And cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
Job 6:24 KJV
The idea of the affliction was to put pressure on Job's mouth to influence the words he would say. His wife did all she could to have him speak wrongly and curse God, his friends severally tried to convince him to speak vainly, but he wouldn't.
Beloved, if we are able to keep guard over our words, the Bible says we are fully mature….
"We all fail in many areas, but especially with our words. Yet if we’re able to bridle the words we say we are powerful enough to control ourselves in every way, and that means our character is mature and fully developed."
James (Jacob) 3:2 TPT.
Therefore, it's always better to think about what you want to say before saying them. If the words coming into your thoughts to speak are not good, wholesome or positive, the Bible says to shut your mouth!
".... if you’ve thought about saying something stupid, you’d better shut your mouth.
Proverbs 30:32 TPT.
As you continue to immerse your mind and thoughts daily in God's word, it will shape your words and you'd exercise yourself more and more in keeping your mouth from speaking evil, maintaining the powerful force field around your life, giving you good days and a pleasant life.
"For He that will love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:" 1 Peter 3:10 KJV.
This is the way to go! Glory to God!!

*CONFESSION*
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for all you have taught me about maintaining the spiritual force field around my life to keep and shield me from all harm and evil. I thank you for your grace working in me and enabling me to be a doer of your word. May the words of my mouth be pleasing in your sight O Lord. I declare that the words that I speak does not ensnare me, but surrounds me with favor, clothes me with power and beautifies me with Grace in Jesus' Name. Amen.
