God Knows Your Heart Needs Healing (1)
One truth I often tell my kids is that God was already putting a plan together to heal our broken hearts. He sent Jesus to step in and die for us. Our lives would be totally broken had God not sent Jesus to take our place on the cross.
Our lives would totally be broken if Jesus had not put His own life on the line and took our own place for our sins. Our lives would never be good if Jesus had not done that.
Jesus came to heal all kinds of brokenness. He heals attitudes, bodies, corrupted hearts, marriages, relationships, and the list goes on.
This is the one reassurance and promise we have: Jesus came to bind up our wounds. Psalm 147:3 comes to mind: “He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.”
Some say we feel closest to God when we are standing in awe of His creation on a mountaintop at sunrise, watching the crashing waves, seeing the sunset in the middle of the ocean, or holding a squirmy newborn baby, or when a favorite couple of yours says, “I do.” Or when God meets the desires of our hearts through our spouse.
I beg to differ. I tell my kids often these are amazing “soul moments” when our hearts expand volumes in our love for God, but I honestly believe we are closest to God when we’re standing in the aftermath of our hearts shattered into pieces like broken glass.
C. S. Lewis said after his wife died that he could hear the door closing and the lock being double-bolted. We sit in these moments when it feels like we can’t take another breath as we whisper like the authors of Psalms “Where are you, God? Do not be so far from me. How long will you hold back from helping me?” But the Bible tells us, God is there in the midst of our grief and heartache. These scriptures promise us that even when we feel alone in our brokenness, we are not alone at all. We also know Jesus was a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief. God is always with those who are hurting, and He sees their broken hearts. my appreciation and Credit for these thoughts to : Heather Riggleman.

PREVAILING PRAYER (pt.2)
Walking in Victory:
Text: Mark 11:23 - 24 “Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him.
For this reason, I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you. [AMP]
A. Hinderance to Prayers:
 Self doubt: A lot of believers doubt themselves when it comes to prayer.
 they believe that God is too far to hear their prayer (they must get the assistance of a bishop or Papa and Mama for god to hear them or until they do some silly stuff such as money sacrifice or something crazy other than what God requires of them.
 that they are too young in Christ for him to listen to them [that they do not matter to him] or that they are too sinful.
 Worry or anxiety Matt 6:25 -26

B. Hypocritical Prayer: Matt 6:5-6
 Jesus thought us to pray Matt 6: 9-14
 Praying with wrong motive James 4:3
C. Lack of spiritual or biblical authority: Acts 19 :13 -15
 Ignorance of our authority as believers Mark 16:17
i. Healing Isa53:4-5, Jere 17:14, Jere 33:6. Jere 30:17
ii. Trail and temptation James 1: 2-3,
iii. Protection Ps. 91:3-9
D. Sin the prayer of a sinner is abomination unto God. Prov. 28 :9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
When you hear the word of God do not turn away. Amend your relationship with him today and he shall direct your path.
God bless you.

PREVAILING FAITH Part 2
. How to grow your faith:
Text: Definition of Faith; . It is a belief that is not based on proof.
Hebrews 11:1-3
Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. For by [faith—trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made from things which are visible. ...
When we choose to follow Jesus, we activated our faith in him.

Heb 1:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
1. Eliminate doubt. Mark 11:23-25Amplified Bible (AMP)
23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, be lifted and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.
24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].

2. Follow God’s Instruction strictly: 2nd Kings 5:11-14, see also Gen.6:1-5
God is wise he is all knowing, when says a word follow it strictly do not add your own our, it may not seem reasonable or fashionable to you . in fact, his words are usually not popular with the majority.

According to the Britannica Ishmael who is regarded in Islam as the father of the Arabs was also a prophet. As against the bible where Christians recorded that Abraham sacrificed Isaac , the Muslims believe that it was Ishmael that Abraham tried to sacrifice, and they re-enact this during the Ed al – Adha. Today the world is still paying for the attempt to help God by Sarah and Abraham . when man adds or takes away from God’s word there is bound to be consequences

3. Time Is for Man Not God. Eccles. 3:11, see also Prov. 16:4, Rom 8:28 all things work together for good to those …

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they can not fathom the work that God has done from beginning to end.
As a human I make plans, but I am also conscious of the fact that my plans are not final they are subject to the will of God. even when my experience is negative a times, I still trust that God know best.
4. A prevailing Faith is a persistent faith: Luke 18 :4-5, 39.
And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, though son f David have mercy on me.
5. Check your daily; Always stay tuned to God’s Station.
The primary way to develop or build your faith are :
 Hearing the word of God constantly : Rom 10:17, No one can have faith without hearing t the message about Christ [contemporary English version ] see also Rom 10:14
o What you Read 2 Timothy 2:15
o What you watch
o What is your standard of measurement: how do you measure success for example, how do you measure spiritual growth, how do you measure God’s presence or anointing on a man of God, is it by the size of his church building, the type of vehicle he drives or by the length of his agada?
 Step out but only focus on Christ.
o God does not violate his principles.
o Faith does not deny the truth acknowledges the facts but chooses to impose Gods’ principles on the situation. 2.Cor 5:7 For we walk by Faith not by Sight. See also . 2.Cor 4:18, Rom 8:24

GOD WILL MAKE AWAY 2
In our last reading from the book of 1cornt. 10 :13 we are told that.
No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. 1 Cornt. 10 : 13 AMP
Very often the word Test and Temptation are used interchangeably, it is pertinent to distinguish both in this study.
Temptation is to entice or allure someone to sin or evil. God is not capable of tempting us to sin because he is good, there is no evil in him. So, when you are tempted with evil do not say God tempted you.
“ let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God, for God can not be tempted by evil, nor does He himself tempt anyone. (James 1:13).
However, as we are taught in the bible, Jesus was tempted, and he over came the devil Heb. 2:18 it is based on this that we know that Jesus can help us over come temptation no matter the nature of it. If only we trust him. He will make a way for us to come out victorious. Over all types of temptations
While God will not tempt us with evil, God will Test us Ex 20: 20, when God tests us it is his way of trusting us to exercise our free will to choose. Man is not a robot but was created as an object of Gods affection to worship him. That worship though, must come from a place of pure love which we offer to God freely not by compulsion or selfishness but rather, admiration, appreciation, and devotion.
Det. 30 :19 “ this day I call heaven and earth as witness against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”
Also in the book of Gen.22:2 we see that Abraham’s faith in God was tested with the demand that he sacrifices his only son Isaac. So, it is not uncommon that God will test us to measure our faith in him. in doing so, God would have given us all the tools to ensure that we pass the test just as he provided all that Abraham required to make the sacrifice ahead to him. though unknown to Abraham at the time.
Similarly, today God has given us all the tools that is required to over come all test and temptation. His only begotten Son Jesus. He also gave us his word the bible, as well as our bible teachers and helpers in the ministries of help. All that God has done would be of no effect if we do not believe in him if we do not trust in his word. God wants us to exercise our free will, to Choose today life or death. To trust in him or Trust the devil’s lies.
In Gen 22: 12 – 13 Abraham lifted his eyes and looked , and behind him a ram caught in a ticket by it’s horn , he took it and offered a sacrifice to the Lord. Imagine what would have happened if Abraham did not obey or trust the God. Certainly, after this event the relationship between God and Abraham was taken to a higher level.
The best way to express what becomes of us when we obey and put our trust in God like Abraham did is captured in these words.
“ I will bring the third part through the fire and will refine them as silver is refined and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, it is my people and they shall say, the Lord is my God. “Zac. 13 :9.
When we receive Jesus into our life, we receive grace. The grace of God upon our life transforms us into spiritual precious metals. For the beauty of a precious metal to be revealed it MUST go through the furnace and fire. To do otherwise in the words of Charles Spurgeon is to choose the viler part – like Esau, to take the pottage and give up the covenant. The fire only refines, it does not destroy. We are to be brought through the fire not to be left in it.
My prayer for you today is that as you walk through your trials and temptation, you come out on the other side purified by the refiner’s fire. That you would be a diadem in the hands of the Almighty God. in Jesus name. Amen!
