Good morning,

Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 119:75, "I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me."

God is always good in everything He does and allows into our lives. The creation has no right to shake his or her fist at the Creator as if He has failed. As the psalmist writes, God is even faithful when He brings afflictions into lives. They come with a purpose of refining us and preparing us to bring Him more glory. When we realize this is why we
were created in the first place, it will help us to accept whatever He allows into our path. Revelation 4:11, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

Our attitude and perspective will remain correct when we faithfully read and meditate on God's Word. Another important piece to our Christian growth is to stay faithful to God's house. Be in church every time the doors are open. Too many Christians have been fooled by the devil to back away from God's family when life is difficult. The church
is needed all the time, but it is needed even more when we face the storms of life. Don't run away from help; run to it!

Good morning,

Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 62:5, "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him."

The inner man is where the majority of the battle takes place. David knows this and is communicating as such. If we will allow our thoughts to remain on the goodness of God, we will wait on Him and know that He has something good for us. Earlier this
morning I was directed to Philippians 2:5, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." It is imperative that we have the mind of Christ for the daily grind. Spend time taking care of the inside.

I found this quote to be very applicable and helpful - “They trust not God at all who trust him not alone. He that stands with one foot on a rock, and another foot upon a quicksand, will sink and perish, as certainly as he that standeth with both feet upon a quicksand. David knew this, and therefore calleth earnestly upon his soul (for his business lay most within doors) to trust only upon God.” (Trapp)
