On Wednesday Aug. 19, 2026 our Lord Jesus received into His loving arms our brother, Hugo Noort. He was 81 years old. Hugo succumbed to an aggressive form of melanoma that required several invasive surgeries and difficult treatments. He endured them all with determination and grace. With the exception of about 15 years, Hugo and Janneke have been long-time members of New West CRC. In fact, Hugo was part of the volunteer construction crew of our church facility as a 17yr. old young man! An entrepreneur at heart, together with his brothers, he built up a successful construction and property management business. He loved his work and still came to the office even with bandages on his head! Determined, hard-working, a dearly loved husband, father, and grandfather he will be deeply missed by Janneke, their three children: Maria, Michael, and Scott and each of their families. We also extend our condolences to Hugo's brothers and their families: Len and Evelyn, and Nick and Nell. A Memorial Service will be held at New West CRC on Saturday Sept. 26 at 11:00 AM.
