Registration is now open for Envision Summit 2026!

The Envision Summit is a gathering for 18–28 year olds who want to be stretched, formed, and supported as they discern God’s call on their lives.

This year, we’re exploring what it means to live
Kingdom Rooted — Sent on Mission.

More than a conference, Envision is a shared experience—creating space to listen for God’s voice, grow alongside others, and take meaningful steps forward in faith, both locally and globally.

Here’s what one past attendee, Jordyn McPherson, shared:

“Attending the Envision Summit was crucial in my discerning process for ministry. It gave me space to learn and grow with other mission-minded young adults, ask honest questions, and discern alongside pastors and international workers.”

If you’re 18–28—or know someone who is—this might be the next right step.

Hope for the Nations
A new venture launching January 15!

This new venture has emerged out of a year long discovery and discernment process as NV leader Luiz Godinho served as an apprentice at Southside Community Church, Milton.

Over the past year, the Lord has clearly affirmed a calling to disciple and shepherd the Portuguese-speaking community in Milton through a Christ-centered missional gathering that creates space for belonging, spiritual discovery, and growth into mature faith. What began as discernment has become a functioning new venture marked by consistent participation, emerging leadership, and visible spiritual fruit within the life of the local church.

"The long-term vision is to use this group to model a simple and biblical discipleship framework. Our prayer is that what God shapes within this Brazilian group will, by His grace, become a transferable discipleship pathway that can be contextualized for other nations and cultures represented in our city." - Luiz

Pray in anticipation with us for the launch of this new venture.

Do you have a favourite Christmas movie?

It may be a little old school, but one of mine is A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Frustrated by the over-commercialization of Christmas, Charlie Brown goes in search of something that will help him capture the true meaning of the season. He rejects the artificial trees and comes back with the only real one left—a skinny little sapling. Confident at first, he’s quickly met with laughter and ridicule.

In frustration, Charlie Brown cries out:

“Isn’t there anyone who can tell me what Christmas is all about!?”

Linus responds, “I can,” and recites these words from Luke 2:8–14:

“Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

This Christmas—amid all the festivity, entertaining, and tradition—there are many like Charlie Brown who feel frustrated, dissatisfied, and searching, asking the same question:

“What is Christmas really about?”

As you celebrate this season, may God bless you, your family, and your loved ones. And as you share Christ, may the Holy Spirit empower you with fresh energy, deep joy, and life-giving words of truth—so that others may discover what Christmas is truly about: a saving faith in Jesus.

May we all experience and express this truth, knowing Him not only as Saviour, but also as Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.”

We’re halfway through District Retreat, and our hearts are full — thankful for the laughter, joy, and deep connection together, and for Wanda Walborn’s powerful message this morning on rekindling our first love.

“So often, ministry for God has replaced a relationship with God.” ~ Wanda Walborn

As pastors and leaders, no matter how much we long for others to experience God’s love, we first need to encounter it ourselves.

So how do we move from simply doing things for Jesus to loving Him as our first love once again?

Wanda shared four invitations to help us return:

1. Keep things tender and simple.

2. Remember the power of first love.

3. Realign yourself to God’s wooing.

(A beautiful way of saying: “Repent! God’s pure love is overwhelming.”)

4. Return. God is inviting you to come back — it can be like it once was again.

District Retreat kicked off this evening in Grand Bend with worship, prayer, testimony, and a powerful message from Ron Walborn.

Ron’s talk was on Identity and he pointed us to Jesus as a perfect example a healthy identity:

“Jesus lived all of his life living from approval not looking for approval … if you don’t serve from a healthy identity, you will always be trying to earn your place in the Kingdom.” ~Ron Walborn

As we looked to Jesus, and considered some of the unique struggles that pastors and ministering persons have with identity, Ron presented 3 questions for us to consider:

1. Do you know who you are at the core of your being?
2. Have you made peace with your past?
3. Are you living with a prophetic future?

Whether you were at Retreat or not, we encourage you to use these three questions as an identity “checklist”.

As you work through them, we pray against the lie of the enemy who wants you to question when there has been a move of God in your life. We also pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal to you who you are, whose you are, and all that God has done in and through you.

Leaders from Central, Eastern, and St. Lawrence districts gathered recently at the National Ministry Center for a two day PEAK Coaches training.

What is PEAK?

PEAK is a coaching process developed by the US Metro District of the C&MA and stands for: PREPARE to EXPECT, the ADVANCE of the KINGDOM. PEAK supports church leadership teams to review where they are as a church while discerning how God is calling them forward to leverage their unique strengths for gospel impact.

Please pray for these district coaches as well as the churches they will support, that God would advance his kingdom through even greater gospel impact.
Also pray for how you might consider taking your church team through PEAK to discern the MORE of what God might have in and through your church to impact your community with gospel of Jesus.
