Every month, our Missions team invites us to pray for a different country, region or people group from around the globe. This month’s prayer focus is Syria and Jordan.

We invite you to pray for:

Boldness: Pray for revival among traditional Christian communities and courage to reach Muslim neighbours.

Protection: Pray for new believers & missionaries facing persecution, harassment, or surveillance.

Wisdom for Leaders: Pray for leaders to uphold human rights, religious freedom, and reconciliation.

Salvation: Pray that many Muslims would turn to Christ through the proclamation of the gospel.

The Church: Pray that the local church would be a beacon of hope and peace.

This past year, we as a church family have been praying for some of the most spiritually needy areas in the world. These are places where billions of people have yet to hear the message of the Gospel. Why do we spend time praying for these areas and the peoples who live there? Why place such an emphasis on missions and the lost? This conviction is shaped by two main elements:

1. We believe that God is worthy of being glorified in every corner of the earth.

2. We are burdened for the good of people.

As a Christian, you respond to the gospel by giving yourself and your life to him. You look to Jesus on the cross and you see that he has given you heavenly riches and glory. That while you deserved hell and death and judgment, on the cross he dies for you and in your place to pay the debt that you could never pay and you are so overwhelmed by the extravagance of his gift that no gift in response seems too much.

You give him your life. You give him your heart.

Time is rushing toward fulfillment.

Where is it all going? It’s heading toward the ultimate return of the Lord Jesus Christ—the judgment of the wicked and the salvation and glorification of those who are found in Christ.

For Christians, this shouldn’t make us scared or worried. We long for the return of our Lord. When we see the patterns Jesus described playing out before our eyes, we shouldn’t be surprised. We know where history is headed.

Jesus says it’s like birth pains. They’re painful—but they lead to something glorious.

The King is coming.
