Today we are living in a growing and ever-expanding community whose pace becomes more hectic by the day. At Knox we believe that God calls us to be a congregation of Christ’s Church in the world. We are responsible for extending God’s love, as exemplified by Jesus Christ to our families, neighbours, local and global communities. In September 2010, Knox took a bold step to seriously review our church organization and as a result realized we were spending too much time in meetings. We have streamlined our governance structure to give people autonomy to achieve the work of our church with an absolute minimum of meetings. We feel people should contribute to the Knox fellowship in the ways they are most comfortable with and capable of. Numerous task teams have been created, some with only one annual task, some with frequent tasks but all focused on responsibilities. Knox is still visioning, changing and growing and we are open to anything as we aim to be a vibrant church in today’s world.
