Thomas had said "Unless I see ... I will not believe". Jesus mercifully came back a week later, so that Thomas could see and believe. What do you need to see in order to believe? Look in the Gospels because they have been written so that "you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name" John 20:25-31.

There is such a thing as blind faith. Yet faith and evidence are not mutually exclusive.

Evidence is not always a sufficient bulwark against fear.

A person might know that parachutes hardly ever fail, yet this knowledge might not be enough to convince them to take a jump.

Faith is clinging to what we believe to be true in the face of the storm. When the waves come crashing and the boat is rocking, it is reminding yourself of the signal instead of being distracted by the temporary and ever changing noise.

The opposite of faith is not evidence. The opposite of faith is fear.
