Today 2 Cor. Chapter 3. "our sufficiency is from God" If you looked up the word in a Greek-English Lexicon it would show the following: " ἱκανότης, ητος, ἡ state of being qualified or adequate for something., fitness, capability, qualification"** It is God who has made you sufficient (competent, suitable, tolerable) to minister the gospel. Paul mentions the Spirit here and the importance of Holy Spirit throughout all of his writing. When you come to Jesus the Holy Spirit is put in you when you are baptized in the Spirit the Holy Spirit is on you....for power, boldness. You and I need the continual Baptism in the Holy Spirit? Pray today for continual power of Holy Spirit upon you. God is doing great things and will do great things through those whom have the empowerment of the Spirit.

If you are following along our schedule of reading you should be in chapter 2 of 2nd Corinthians. One chapter a day, every day. Are you spreading the fragrance of Jesus? According to scripture, if you are in Christ (meaning you know Jesus as Lord and Savior) you are oozing from your very pours the fragrance of Jesus. Praise the Lord! Even when you are not feeling well, or are discouraged, the message of Jesus is spread .... not by your doing...but it is Christ who leads us! In Triumphal procession..... He is saying, "Hey look at what I (Jesus) have done in the life of this person" You are a testimony to Jesus everyday. Walk in it!

We are on Chapter 11 of the book of Daniel. After you complete Daniel start Ruth on the 28th of May then start 2 Corinthians on June 1.
Daniel 11 is quite the history story, but this prophecy was written long before the events described actually happened. It speaks of Persian and Greek periods of ancient history and also of Antiochus Epiphanes. The whole chapter shows the supernatural insight that God gave the Prophet Daniel.

We are on Chapter 10 of the book of Daniel if you are following along with our 1 chapter of scripture per week. After you complete Daniel start Ruth on the 28th of May then start 2 Corinthians on June 1.
The Angel spoke to Daniel, we can be sure from what we find in scripture that when we have visions or Angles speak to us there are physical realities, in this case Daniel was mute. This also happens in Luke when Zachariah is told by an Angle that his wife is going to have a son and he will name him John......John the Baptist.

One Chapter a Day, we are in 1 Corinthians and you should be on Chapter 13 since we started April 30th. Below is a verse from yesterday's reading

I am sharing the following from two differnt Bible Comenatars. The first is from John Barry and the second is from Jack Hayford.

"to each one Emphasizes the diversity in gifts distributed among believers (v. 1). These gifts reveal the activity of the Spirit within the church community. Paul’s emphasis is on the community as a whole, so he is not indicating that every single person has his or her own gift; rather, each person has multiple gifts and often shares the same gifts with others. Manifestation of the Spirit God reveals the Spirit through the various gifts provided to believers.
What is beneficial The gifts exist for the benefit of the church community, not the status of an individual.

"Paul identifies a spiritual gift as a supernatural ability bestowed on an individual by the Holy Spirit, not as a heightened natural ability. Thus, each gift is a manifestation of the Spirit, that is, visible evidence of His activity. The Holy Spirit bestows the gifts to whom He wills as the occasion recommends from the divine viewpoint"

Reading one chapter of 1st Corinthians a day. We are on Chapter 8. This verse captures the essential that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. and he fulfills a mediating role because we the believer reach God through Jesus. Notice too that are existence is from God.
