What a beautiful Palm Sunday!
The children did such a great job with their presentation a during both services. Our fabulous Lidia did such a beautiful job planning and arranging everything, and it showed! Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success! Kids, you were incredible! Thank you!
After the presentation, we had some “Palm Sundaes” to celebrate, where each topping represented part of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
Primary parents, you can ask your children about the “Resurrection Eggs” we made today. We talked through Jesus’s journey from Palm Sunday to the cross to His glorious resurrection. I wanted to give the children the chance to interact with this story before Good Friday and Resurrection Day next week.
Elementary parents, some of your children had the opportunity to make crosses from some of the palm leaves.

Each week in The Biggest Story, our children are discovering how the Bible’s big story reveals God’s rescue plan through Jesus.

Story 5: A Table and a Tower

Lesson Summary: This week, the lesson focused on Genesis 10–11. We learned about how the nations spread and why God confused the language at Babel. People chose pride and disobedience, trying to make a name for themselves rather than show how great God is. God judged their pride by confusing their language and scattering them across the earth, but His plan still moved forward to bless all nations through Jesus. Kids learned that only God is truly great, and our lives are meant to point to Him.

Big Truth: People wanted to be great, but only God is great.

Memory Verse of the Week: “Its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.” Genesis 11:9

Preschoolers: Can you remember Romans 5:12? Tell your teacher next Sunday.
Older kids: See if you can remember all 5 verses for next Sunday: Genesis 1:1, Genesis 3:15, Romans 5:12, Genesis 7:12, and Genesis 11:9.

Story 4: Rain, Rain, Go Away

Lesson Summary:
This week, the lesson focused on Genesis 6-9 — the story of Noah and the flood. God saw that people were choosing sin and wickedness, so He sent a flood to judge the earth. But God also showed mercy by saving Noah, his family, and the animals in the ark. After the flood, God made a promise never to flood the whole earth again, and He put a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His faithfulness. Kids learned that God judges sin but also saves those who trust Him. God keeps His promises!

Our elementary kids enjoyed making origami animals, while preschoolers created beautiful watercolour rainbow pictures to remember God’s promise.

Big Truth: God sent a flood to judge all the wickedness on earth.

Memory Verse of the Week: “Rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights.” Genesis 7:12

Preschoolers: See if you can remember Genesis 1:1 and Romans 5:12 for next week.
Older kids: See if you can remember all four verses so far for next week: Genesis 1:1, Genesis 3:15, Romans 5:12, and Genesis 7:12.

Story 3: From Bad to Worse

Lesson Summary:
This week, the lesson focused on Genesis 3–4 — life outside the garden after Adam and Eve sinned. Sin and death spread everywhere and to everyone, as seen in the story of Cain and Abel. Kids learned that sin doesn’t just affect one person — it spreads and hurts others, too. But in a world full of brokenness, God’s love and promise remain. God promised to send a Rescuer — Jesus, the “Snake Crusher”—who would defeat sin and bring us back to God. Our classes talked about how easily sin spreads and made coffee filter crafts to show how quickly it spreads everywhere.

Big Truth: Sin was everywhere and in everyone.

Memory Verse of the Week: “Just as sin came into the world through one man [Adam], and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.” Romans 5:12

Preschoolers: Keep working on memorizing Genesis 1:1. If you're up for a challenge, memorize Romans 5:12 with the actions song below.
Older kids: Genesis 1:1, Genesis 3:15, and Romans 5:12.

Story 2: A Very Bad Day

Lesson Summary:
This week, our lesson focused on Genesis 3—when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden. Through their choice, sin, suffering, and death entered the world. Kids learned about the importance of obedience and how listening to God brings blessing, while disobedience leads to brokenness. Even when we make wrong choices, God’s love and promise remain. God promised to send a Rescuer — Jesus, the “Snake Crusher” — who would defeat the snake and fix what was broken. Our classes celebrated the theme of obedience with beautiful watercolor crafts!

Big Truth: Sin, suffering, and death came into the world because Adam disobeyed God.

Memory Verse of the Week: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15
Preschoolers: Keep working on memorizing Genesis 1:1. If you're up for a challenge, memorize the first part of Genesis 3:15.
Older kids: Challenge yourself to remember both Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 3:15 for Kids Church next week!

Welcome to The Biggest Story! Over the next two years, our children will journey through the overarching story of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, discovering how all the stories fit together to reveal God’s rescue plan through Jesus.

Story 1: And So It Begins

Lesson Summary:
This week, children learned about the very beginning of the Bible—Genesis 1 and 2—where God created the world out of nothing. Over six days, God made light, sky, land, plants, sun, moon, stars, fish, birds, animals, and finally, people in his own image. The lesson emphasized that God’s creation is good, and that as humans, we reflect God’s goodness like mirrors. Children explored how God gave us a day for rest and worship, and discussed ways to honor God as his image bearers. The lesson also connected the story of creation to Jesus, showing that he, along with the Father and Spirit, is the Creator and our Savior who helps us reflect God’s image more clearly.

Big Truth:
A very good God makes a very good world, with humans as his very good image bearers.

Memory Verse of the Week:
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1
