The Ontario Christian Choir (OCC) invites high school students to form a choir of mixed voices under the directorship of Dr. Chris Teeuwsen. High school students from across Ontario will be coming together from Thursday afternoon to Saturday evening to learn choral music and to grow together through group devotions, games, communal meals, Coffee House, and making a joyful noise unto the Lord. The
weekend concludes with a concert on Saturday evening to which friends and family are warmly invited. The choral pieces the students have mastered over the weekend are the main feature of the concert, together with selected performances from the Friday evening Coffee House. The weekend is typically at the end of April, with the current location being Brantford, Ontario. The weekend is organized by a committee of dedicated volunteers who look after all the details, from training the male and female leaders to selecting the music for the choir, from arranging billets to preparing snacks and meals. Students are placed in groups which are led by young Christian adults, who guide the devotions, motivate the group activities, and serve as godly examples for male and female students.
