We had an amazing celebration of Pentecost yesterday at Grace Church. Excel read from Numbers, Fr. David cantored the Psalm, Ola read from the Book of Acts in her native tongue Yoruba, Canon Bob read the gospel of John in German. Our guest saxophone soloist was Nicole Arthur, the choir sang "Every Time I Feel the Spirit" with Mayor as soloist and Chris returned to Grace to assist in the service. The Lord's Prayer was lead by Princewill in Igbo, his native tongue, accompanied by the choir. This was topped off with cake at coffee hour. Thank you to all and thanks to Canon Stephen for making it happen. It was announced that Lil and Bud Adams renewed their vows this week celebrating 50 years of marriage. Good news all around! Congratulations.

A small gathering of Daily Bread volunteers at Grace Church to wish the very best to Miles, who has been with the program since the beginning in the 1990's. As you can see Miles loves trains and also likes to fix up his house. We are grateful for his dedication and love of the community. Thank you Miles.

A scrumptious stir fry meal over noodles was prepared today by Chef Elio and his team for the DAILY BREAD DINNERS, given out to our clients. We gratefully accept donations to this weekly outreach meal program. Simply make out a cheque to Grace Church with notation for Daily Bread Dinners. Tax receipts are available for donations $20 and over. The meals are always nutritious and homemade.
