In this Spirit-filled season of Pentecost, we celebrate ordinary time and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit — our Comforter and daily guide. Though Jesus is no longer with us in the flesh, He has sent the Spirit so we can do even greater things in His name. 🙏

Even in a broken world of challenges and uncertainty, Jesus calls us to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. Keith shared powerful “public experiences” from riding Brampton’s new Argo Transit — moments of impatience, diverse encounters, and the choice to respond with grace and calm.

This mirrors Jesus’ ministry: calling the despised tax collector Matthew to follow Him, dining with the rejected, and raising the synagogue leader’s daughter to life amid doubt. Jesus bridges divides with mercy, love, and hope.

This week, may the Holy Spirit empower us to show kindness, patience, and forgiveness in our own everyday encounters. How might God be inviting you to connect with your neighbours?
Share your thoughts below and walk in the power of Pentecost! 🌱

In the quiet of the upper room, Jesus looked into the anxious faces of his friends and spoke words we still need today: “Do not let your hearts be troubled.”

Right there, in their uncertainty about his coming departure, Jesus offered deep reassurance. He promised that his Father’s house has many rooms and that he was going ahead to prepare a place for them—for us. When Thomas asked, “How can we know the way?” Jesus answered with one of the most powerful statements in all of Scripture: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

And when Philip said, “Show us the Father,” Jesus gently revealed the beautiful mystery: “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” Jesus isn’t just pointing us toward God—he is the living connection between heaven and earth.

Because of this, we are invited to trust him completely. Not with blind faith, but with the kind of trust that grows through relationship, through walking with him, through remembering his promises. ✨

Jesus even dared to tell his ordinary disciples they would do greater things than he had done—because he would continue to work through them, and through us, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This week, wherever your heart feels troubled or uncertain, hear Jesus speaking directly to you: “Trust in God. Trust also in me.”
How is Jesus calling you to trust him more deeply this week? Share in the comments—I’d love to hear. 🙏

And if you missed it on Sunday, take a few moments to watch the full message. Your spirit will be encouraged.

There’s something wonderfully chaotic about Pentecost — wind rushing, flames dancing, voices in every language. Yet right in the middle of the noise and confusion, understanding breaks through like a miracle. 🙏

The same Spirit that burst onto the scene that day still moves among us today. Paul, writing to the Corinthians, brings that wild energy down to earth and asks: how do we live together because of it? He reminds us that even our ability to say “Jesus is Lord” comes from the Holy Spirit. Our faith isn’t something we manufacture on our own.

Then Paul paints this beautiful picture: there are many gifts, but the same Spirit. Wisdom, faith, healing, listening, kindness, hospitality — all different, all needed. Diversity isn’t a problem to fix. It’s how the Spirit works.

He compares the church to a body. The foot doesn’t get to say, “I’m not a hand, so I don’t belong.” The ear doesn’t quit because it’s not an eye. We need each other — exactly as we are. Your quiet faithfulness, your coffee ministry, your willingness to show up, your unique gifts — they all matter for the common good.

Pentecost didn’t erase our differences. It created understanding across them. That’s still the miracle.

How is the Spirit inviting you to share your gifts this week? Drop a comment below — we’d love to hear! And if you missed Sunday, watch the sermon and be encouraged. You belong here. ✨

Mid-week Reflection: And the Glory of the Lord!

This Ascension Sunday we lifted our eyes with the disciples and beheld the risen Christ ascending into glory. The holy Lamb, once slain for the sins of the world, now reigns with all power, authority, and majesty. No more repeated sacrifices — just one perfect offering that conquered death forever. 🙏

Right there on the Mount of Olives, the same angels who once sang “Glory to God in the highest” over Bethlehem’s shepherds appeared again. They declared, “This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go.” The glory that shone around the little shepherds at His birth now commissions every one of us to become shepherds of His flock — tending, feeding, and carrying the good news forward.

Because Jesus ascends, He sends the promised Holy Spirit. Because He is seated in power, we are not orphaned. Because the King of kings is coming again, we can face every challenge — sorrow, uncertainty, even the headlines — with hope fixed on Him.
And so the church becomes a “conclave of prayer,” just as the first believers gathered in Jerusalem. We lift our eyes to the hills and declare with the psalmist and with Handel: “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed!” ✨

Who are you called to shepherd this week? Where do you need to lift your eyes today and remember that the same Jesus who ascended is the One who is coming back?

Drop a 🙌 in the comments if you’re choosing to let His light shine through you, and join us as we wait expectantly for Pentecost this coming Sunday. The best is still ahead!
See you in worship. 🌱
