We warmly invite all families to dress up the children as Little Krishnas, Radhas/Gopikas, Kuchelan, and other characters from Krishna Leela to take part in the procession.

If any dance group (or a group of kids) would like to present a short 2–3 minute Krishna themed dance performance during the Shobhayathra (outside the Temple), please let us know.

Why Sept 13th in Canada?
Many devotees have asked about the different dates of celebration.

In some parts of North India, Janmashtami was observed on August 16th this year.

In Kerala, it will be observed on September 14th.

Here in Canada, based on local sunrise, sunset, and tithi calculations, the most appropriate day falls on September 13th.

This variation happens because the observance depends on the Ashtami Tithi (the 8th lunar day of Krishna Paksha) along with local geography and time zone differences.

We hope everyone will join us with devotion and enthusiasm to make the Shobhayathra a memorable celebration
