Sermon Title: โGod Meets You At Your Levelโ
Judges 6:11โ16
11 And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.14 And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my fatherโs house.16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
1. Many people doubt Godโs existence, but just because nothing is happening in your life right now doesnโt mean God is not watching.
2. God will meet you at your level.
3. When Mark said to Jesus, โI believe; help my unbelief!โ. God dinโt say to him that he doubted; instead, He met him at his level and blessed him.
4. Donโt think that your level is higher than another believer just because your prayer is more than them! Acknowledge his grace, and not your longer prayer time.
5. Those who read the Word, and donโt follow are like those who see themselves in the mirror, and later forget how do they look.
6. There are times when you donโt feel like praying or reading your Bible. However, do you still pray and read the Word depends, where God will take you.
John 20:25, 27
25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Jonah 1:2
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
Jonah 4:2
And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
1. Jonah, dint want to go to a city and save people where God wanted him to go. God still used him and sent him because he was chosen.
