Today we saw in the Bible, how we can handle life's ups & downs as Joseph did: 1. Count on God's grace & 2. Count on God's goodness. We don't have to DO anything to be loved by God, because Jesus has already DONE it all!

Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table – Session 2 
Psalm 23 | 1 Peter 5:8

Tonight, we were reminded how quickly the enemy tries to pull up a chair at our table.

Scripture says the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8). The danger is not just that he shows up, it’s when we begin entertaining the conversation.

All the enemy needs is a tiny opportunity.

How do we know if the enemy has a seat at our table?

1. When we begin believing there’s a “better table” somewhere else (John 10:10). Any voice pulling us away from intimacy with the King is not welcome at the table.

2. When we start believing “I’m not going to make it.” But Psalm 23:4 reminds us that even through the valley, He walks with us and leads us through.

3. When we hear “I’m not good enough.” The enemy works subtly, whispering lies about our worth. But the Good Shepherd laid down His life for His sheep (John 10:11).

4. When paranoia and distrust begin taking over—believing everyone is against us. Jesus did not live with clenched fists; He opened His hands in surrender, love, and generosity.
The reminder was powerful:
You may prowl around, but you cannot sit down.

We have a King. We have a table. And instead of locking eyes on fear, lies, and distractions, we choose to lock eyes on Jesus and believe what He says.
