On June 13th we celebrated the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, our Patron Saint. What a joy to celebrate this feast with our parish community! Thank you to our parish priests, our concelebrants, our volunteers, friends of the parish, and all our parishioners who have made this celebration possible. We are truly blessed.
Our parish after all these years, continues to stand tall and proud. Even as the world changes, even when things don’t go as planned, every generation of this parish continues to say ‘Yes’ to Jesus. St. Anthony was also constantly hit with the unexpected. Every big plan he had to serve the Lord, instead led to health problems, shipwrecks, and ultimately to the quiet, simple moments. Yet, after all of that, St. Anthony was still obedient to the will of God. Eventually, those quiet moments led to preaching the Gospel, feeding the hungry, and today he’s a Doctor of the Church.
A faithful ‘Yes’ through the storm is proof of the wonders that God has done in St. Anthony’s life and in our own lives. May St. Anthony continue to pray for our parish and May the Lord Bless all of you always!
