Sandra White just reminded me when she mentioned working in the community....we want to say thank you for your generosity in contributing to our December food drive. The food was delivered to The St. VINCENT'S food bank here in Bowmanville. It was much appreciated and will help to restock the shelves at the food bank.

Eric and Robin Poulin have asked me to share this invitation:
We are happy to welcome anyone from Bowmanville Ward on December 30 at 1 to 3
that wants to give Amelia and Trent well wishes.
We weren't able to get invites out to everyone
If there is any way to let people in the Ward know... that would be amazing!
It's not a formal sit down
It's an open house format.. a drop in 😊

Some members had asked me about the St. Vincent's Food Bank food sorts.

This Tuesday at 1:15 is the last Tuesday food sort until the new year.

There will be the Christmas Hamper food and toy sorts the first week of December.

I'm including the announcement from the Food Bank Supervisor:

Hello all, we have confirmed the times for all of the Christmas Hamper food/toy sort dates and times and they are listed below. Please try to come out to as many as possible as we can get well over 100 boxes or more from each school and we have multiple schools each day. Because these days are longer lunch will be provided for each of the Christmas Hamper food/toy sort days. As well feel free to invite adult relatives and adult friends to the Christmas Hamper sorts. I will have a sign-up sheet at the food sort next week for the Hamper sorts and if you can’t attend next week please let me know by November 22nd your availability for the Hamper sorts so we can plan lunch accordingly for each date.
I have also listed the New Years food sorts and the Feed the Need Dates for January. Please note there is no food sort on Tues. November 26th and only the Hamper food sorts in December.
Thanks,
Christine

Thanks so much to all those
who were able to attend the Concert of Remembrance last night. We had so many more members attend than last year so it really felt like we were "hosting" this event and inviting the community in.

I was privy to the conversations of the dignitaries prior to the concert. I overheard so many comments about how they enjoy coming every year. They appreciate this opportunity to share their experiences and to have their organizations recognized.

After the concert one visitor remarked how these concerts just keep getting better and better every year!!

I hope you were moved by the music and the singing and the talks and the video presentations. I laughed and I cried and most of all, I remembered.

I will put posters up today, but in case you miss them, I'll include the dates here. There are a number of events coming...
