Our Story

The Temple of the Night has completed the Temple development program through the Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca; much like all of the other Temples of the Tradition, it has undergone the three stage chartering process: Witan Shrine Charter achieved in 2015, Proto-Temple Charter achieved in 2017 and finally Full Temple Status. We received our Full Temple Status and Charter with the Correllian Nativist Tradition in November of 2018, while attending the Parliament of World Religions in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We are a Wiccan based religious ministry with a Germanic twist, that is looking to shape ourselves into a legally recognized religious body with all of the same rights and privileges as any other religious entity in Canada. This is our end goal, to be completely legally recognized and established as a Correllian Temple in Canada, with land and a physical Temple location, that we can call our own, and where others can come to honour and worship and celebrate life and all its processes with a spiritual family in fellowship and community.

The Temple of the Night has been the goal of our Temple Head, Rev. Brian “Ravenblood” Layng, since the very beginning of his early years with the Tradition, and even beforehand. It has been his goal to organize a local Temple of the Tradition, that can function as a Wiccan Ministry at the virtual level, private level, as well as the public level so that all people can come and see the beauty of the Craft, as well as all aspects of our wonderful Faith. To learn, grow, and share in experiences and come together as a spiritual family, united under a single banner. Where outsiders of our ways, those that are seeking to learn our ways, or even just to learn about them, will have somewhere to go and learn about the path of Wicca and the Correllian Nativist Tradition.

We bring the Old Ways to you and offer a variety of services from open and public events, public and virtual rituals, various sacerdotal functions (religious duties) from a simple house blessing, to education and training in the Craft and/or our Priesthood, to wedding services of various styles and functions, especially Wiccan Handfastings. And so much more! Whatever your pleasure or reason for coming to the Temple of the Night, we are sure that you will find it with us and we welcome you!
