Today, 3 April 2026, is GOOD FRIDAY OF THE LORD’S PASSION. It is the most solemn Christian day commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is a day of fasting and abstinence, featuring a unique, bare-altar liturgy consisting of the Liturgy of the Word, Adoration of the Cross, and Holy Communion.

St. Joseph Chapel Good Friday Service is at 3pm. All are welcome.

Aujourd'hui, 3 avril 2026, est le VENDREDI SAINT DE LA PASSION DU SEIGNEUR. C'est le jour chrétien le plus solennel commémorant la crucifixion et la mort de Jésus-Christ sur la croix. Today’s Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, marking the start of Holy Week. It celebrates his welcoming as King by crowds waving palm branches, while highlighting his humble, peaceful nature in riding a donkey. Today is also known as Passion Sunday.

Il célèbre son accueil en tant que Roi par la foule agitant des branches de palmier, tout en soulignant sa nature humble et pacifique en montant un âne. Ce jour est également connu sous le nom de dimanche de la Passion.

THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME OF THE YEAR HAS COME!!! It’s the St-Joseph’s SOUP COOK OFF on 22 March 2026! (Ok… maybe Easter is the most important time of the year 🤣 but you get the point!)

THIS SUNDAY, 22 March 2026, St. Joseph's Chapel will celebrate a bilingual Mass at 10:00 AM followed by our Annual Soup Cookoff!

The cookoff is open to everyone of all religions and denominations.

Competitors must register for the competition using the registration form that will be available at the cookoff. PLEASE NOTE: All ingredients must be listed on the form.

6 - 7 liters of soup are required from each competitor (the volume of a large slow cooker)
Six to seven liters of soup are required from each competitor, the volume of a large slow cooker.

The soup should be dropped off in the Chapel Annex between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM, preferably in a slow cooker to keep it warm.

There is no cost to sample soups, but you are invited to bring a donation for the food bank.

Ballots to vote for the best soup cost $5 each or 5 for $20. Revenue will be used to support the CWL and the Chapel’s Men Group.

The winner will be announced and presented with the Leclair Trophy on Sunday, 29 March 2026.

LE MOMENT LE PLUS IMPORTANT DE L'ANNÉE EST ARRIVÉ ! C'est le CONCOURS DE SOUPE de la chapelle Saint-Joseph le 22 mars 2026 ! (Bon, Pâques est peut-être le moment le plus important de l'année 🤣, mais vous avez compris !)

CE DIMANCHE 22 mars 2026, la chapelle Saint-Joseph célébrera une messe bilingue à 10 h 00, suivie de notre concours de soupe annuel!

Le concours est ouvert à tous, quelles que soient leurs religions et leurs origines.

Les participants doivent s'inscrire au concours en utilisant le formulaire d'inscription disponible sur place. NB: Tous les ingrédients doivent y figurer.

6 à 7 litres de soupe sont requis par participant (le volume d'une grande mijoteuse).

La soupe doit être déposée à l'annexe de la chapelle entre 9 h 30 et 10 h 00, de préférence dans une mijoteuse pour la garder au chaud.

La dégustation des soupes est gratuite, mais vous êtes invité à apporter un don pour la banque alimentaire.

Les bulletins de vote pour la meilleure soupe coûtent 5 $ chacun ou 5 pour 20 $. Les fonds seront utilisés pour soutenir la CWL et le groupe d'hommes de la chapelle.

Le gagnant sera annoncé et recevra le trophée Leclair le dimanche 29 mars 2025.

Merry Christmas 2025.

This evening we gathered at St. Joseph Chapel Borden at 1900 hrs for Christmas Mass. Through the proclamation of the Word and the celebration of the Eucharist, we encountered Christ anew, truly present among His people.

As we celebrate Christmas and look ahead to the New Year, may the peace of the newborn Christ dwell in our hearts, and may God’s abundant blessings be upon you and your loved ones.
