Sacramental Preparation

Hello parents and students.

My name is Mel Poulin, and I will be your facilitator this year. I have been helping with the St. Louis Parish Sacramental Preparation for over ten years, and I am excited to journey with you all towards the reception of your sacraments of First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion.
Due to the turning over of facilitators, as well as a new diocesan wide program implementation, the preparation for Sacraments will be starting in January for this year.
Each Sacrament will consist of three mandatory two hour student sessions, and each one will include a one hour parent only session, which will also be mandatory. Upon the completion of the three sessions, students will take part in a separate celebration of the reception of their Sacrament.

These preparation sessions are for children currently in Grade 3 or older.

The dates for First Reconciliation classes are as follows:
Jan 11 - First Reconciliation Session 1 (2-4pm)
Jan 18 - Session 2 (2-4pm)
Feb 8 - Session 3 (2-4pm)
Feb 17 - Reception of First Reconciliation (6:30pm)

I do apologize for the confusion this turnover has caused, and for the heaviness of the commitment due to start up so late in the year, but I am thankful you’ve made the decision to ensure your children receive these life-changing Sacraments.
