In todayโs Gospel, Jesus speaks of the Beatitudes and shows us a different way of seeing what it means to be blessed. The poor, the hungry, those who weep, and those who are rejected for His sake are called blessedโnot because suffering is good, but because ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฑ๐ผ๐บ.
The world often tells us that happiness comes from comfort, possessions, success, and recognition. Jesus reminds us that these things cannot be the foundation of our lives.

๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐: Have we become too attached to comfort, possessions, or the approval of others that we sometimes forget God and those who are in need?
St. Peter Claver shows us what it means to live this Gospel. He saw people who were suffering and chose to respond with compassion and service. His life reminds us that faith is not only something we believeโit is something we live through the way we see, love, and serve others.
๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ง๐ฟ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐: What are we truly seekingโwhat the world promises, or the lasting joy that comes from knowing God and loving others?
May we learn to see with the heart of Christ, remain grateful without becoming attached to comfort, and never become too satisfied to notice those who are hurting. Like St. Peter Claver, may our faith move us to compassionate action and make our lives a blessing to others. ๐โค๏ธ
