Leadership development has always been an important focus for Blenheim United Church. Many years ago, a fund was established to assist people with the cost of taking advantage of leadership development opportunities.

The fund was utilized in different ways. Each year the fund was used to off-set the cost to parents of sending their children to Kenesserie Camp. Some of these children became camp counsellors as teenagers, and a few of those people have become ministers. The fund was also used to help send adults in the church to workshops or conferences on church leadership.

Over the last few years, the fund has not been utilized to its fullest potential. In conversation with the family who established the fund they would still like to see the money used for leadership development and Kenesserie Camp was the logical place for this to happen.

Blenheim United Church is honoured to have been the holder of this generous fund and are now privileged to donate $7,500.00 to Kenesserie Camp to be used for leadership development. Dan Richards, the Executive Director of Kenesserie Camp was grateful to receive this donation.

December 10 – The Women’s Centre has an “I Believe” store where the mothers can shop for gifts for their children.
Items needed for the store include: toys (not requiring batteries), pajamas, socks, etc. They are often in need of gifts for older children and teens. Last week the donations overflowed out of the boxes provided. Thank you for your generosity! See you Sunday at the community room of Blenheim Community Funeral home

You are invited to join us to worship and fellowship this first Sunday of Advent at the community room of Blenheim Community Funeral home at 10:30. Rev Wanda Burse will lead the worship. We will collecting items for the women at the Women’s centre in Chatham. We thank you for your generosity.
