🎢Touch me, Lord, with your Spirit Eternal
Stir my heart. Fill me.🎢

May the Creator bless you today. May your heart be tender, with the touch of grace, compassion and kindness.
Thinking of you as you touch the hem and cling to the Creator's promises which are illuminating and made visible through authentic acts of kindness that offer love, hope, joy, and peace.
Praying for you and for your journey.

A touch.
So ordinary and light
we barely notice it.

A hand on a shoulder.
An arm around someone who’s grieving.
A hand held across a hospital bed.
A child reaching for a parent’s fingers.

Small things.

Until they’re not.

A woman reaches out,
through the crowd,
through her fear,
through years of being overlooked.

Just the edge of a cloak.

A touch.

A father falls at Jesus’ feet,
desperate for his daughter,
desperate for one more chance,
one more breath,
one more touch of hope.

And Jesus responds.

Not with distance.
Not with indifference.

but with presence.
and touch.

Because that’s how love often arrives.

Not in grand speeches.
Not in dramatic gestures.

But in casseroles left at a door.
In messages sent at the right moment.
In sitting beside someone
when words are hard to find.
In choosing not to walk past.

We underestimate touch.
Not only the touch of hands,
but the touch of a life.

The way kindness lingers.
The way encouragement stays with us for years.
The way one act of compassion
can become a turning point
in someone else’s story.

Jesus touched lives wherever He went.

Not just bodies,
but hearts,
souls,
communities.

And He still does.

Through people willing to notice.
People willing to stop.
People willing to reach out.

We may never know
how far our touch travels.

How a word spoken gently,
a kindness offered freely,
a moment of compassion given without thought,
becomes part of someone else’s healing.

But love leaves fingerprints.
And every time we choose
to touch the world with grace,
something of Christ
is made visible.

I heard my friend say, "Would you like a lunch?"
"For me? You are giving me a lunch! I could cry! Seriously, you have no idea how hard I have been praying, and you wouldn't know that I really needed this today. Thank you."

The last Thursday of each month our Congregation provides an Outreach Ministry to our Community. This is a blessing.
We appreciate the generosity of donations of time, money and skills that makes this possible. Thank you.
Thank you to each one who has supported this special Outreach response. ❀️ πŸ₯ͺπŸ™Œ

We want to express our thanks to our Community Outreach Ministry Coordinator B Hazel Mc Donald who facilitates this and other Outreach opportunities.
Thank you to Hazel and Wende for making the lunches.
Thank you to Rita for responding to the nudge of the Holy Spirit to call and assist with the delivery and distribution. What a blessing!

The recipients expressed their appreciation and gratitude for this gift. We know that we are each experiencing the life-giving gifts that come from a cup of water, a loaf of bread and a heart that fosters love, gratitude, and peace.

The words of a hymn remind us that these are sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, neighbours and strangers, young, old, all people made in God's image, hungry, each one of us! We renew our compassion and open our hearts and hands to help offer a tangible gift of a loved filled lunch!

We remember you Thom as we continue to live as you encouraged our community to
Do good! Be good! Share love! ❀️ πŸ₯ͺπŸ™Œ

This Sunday our theme is: "Living Blessing" it is the long weekend.
May all be blessed and safe.
Many are away and some are dealing with complex needs and circumstances that are expressed in a variety of situations and concerns.
We had planned to gather today but have had to postpone our service today.
I would invite you to pause and join me in an intentional day of rest.
May we take a moment to breathe in the breath of God's love and exhale the comcern. Repeat this several times and as you do this receive God’s peace, love, joy and have hope.
God of wisdom and love fill us.
May the gifts we share, be in response to the generous gifts that the Creator has given to each one of us.
We pause and pray together as we are each living blessings.
Prayers for each on we encounter on this journey.
May each be safe, healthy and know that they are loved.
Rest and be blessed.πŸ™Œ βœοΈπŸŒŽπŸ•Šβ€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ•―πŸ«‚πŸ™

Rest Is Sacred
The soul breathes differently...

Rest is not a reward for finishing everything. It is part of how we remain human.

Some people are physically exhausted. Others are spiritually drained, always connected, always producing, always carrying something, yet rarely resting deeply enough to hear their own heart again.

St. Francis understood that silence and solitude were not escapes from life, but places where God restores the human person. He would leave the crowds, the work, even the ministry, to pray in quiet places because he knew that what is not renewed eventually begins to decay.

A person who never rests slowly loses clarity.
Prayer becomes mechanical.
Love becomes impatient.
The heart becomes heavy without even knowing why.

Real rest is sacred.
Not endless distraction. Not numbing out. Not running away.
Real rest reconnects the soul to peace.

It reminds us that our worth does not come from constant activity, achievement, or being needed by everyone.

Rest is wisdom.
Sometimes God speaks most clearly in the moments when we finally stop striving long enough to listen.

πŸ”ΉοΈ Create moments of silence each day.. Even 10 minutes without noise, notifications, or distractions can begin to calm the soul. Sit quietly, pray slowly, take a walk, or simply breathe in God’s presence. Silence is not empty, it creates space for clarity and peace to return.

πŸ”ΉοΈ Stop treating rest like something you must β€œearn.” Many people only allow themselves to rest after exhaustion has already taken over. Healthy rest is not laziness. Sleep well, slow down when needed, and allow yourself moments of recovery before burnout becomes normal.

πŸ”ΉοΈ Step away from constant stimulation. The heart becomes tired when it is always consuming noise, information, and pressure. Spend time away from screens, unnecessary busyness, and endless scrolling. The soul often reconnects with God, peace, and itself in quiet simplicity.

Rest well.
Your soul needs space to breathe again.

May you have peace and blessed assurance as you discern your journey this week.
On Sunday we continued to hear about ways to live and trust God as we were reminded of the importance of "Living the Way! (John 14: 1-14)
As we look around us, we see the blooming of flowers and plants as nature awakens within us a deep sense of gratitude for this season of rebirth and growth.
We express our gratitude to the Creator for the splendor and sense of warm, eternal love that this provides after a long time of wintering. Together we plant seeds, as we nurture and care for others, ourselves, and all Creation.
As we look closely at the delicate petals of a flower, we pause to remember, and celebrate, and express our thanks, for each little gift that we are privileged to experience and receive.
We are aware that many are in need of prayer and assistance for the uncertainty and situations that they are navigating.
We offer prayers and entrust these specific needs to God who guides and provides. May we stay rooted in the Creator's Word and Love.
We continue to pray the Mission Prayer and stand on the promises that produce seeds of Joy, Hope, Love, and Peace. πŸ™πŸ•ŠπŸŒŽπŸ’žπŸ•―πŸ™Œ

To live in God’s house is to receive God’s hospitality and be in relationship with God.
β€œI am the way, and the truth, and the life” is about living in intimate relationship with the Divine through Jesus Christ rather than getting to a destination.
Disciples are prepared for a life of faithful, powerful ministry that embodies the mission of Christ.

May all be blessed.βœοΈπŸ™πŸŒŽπŸ’žπŸ‘£

Have hope! As we continue our Easter journey we express our gratitude to each one who is faithfully responding generously by living abundantly as companions on this journey we are making. Our theme this week focused on "Living Abundantly" using the Scripture reading John 10. I am so grateful for the Good Shepherd who leads us and calls us by our name. In all of the uncertainty we are grateful for the blessings of community that help us experience the blessings of the risen Christ inviting us to express justice through whole-life stewardship.
As we walk focused on the Kingdom of God, which draws us near, we are committed to work with others to make connections that embody Christ's mission.
We recognize the worth of all persons and how we can help foster care through our Outreach that challenges us to be a people of faith that embodies our Enduring Principles and Mission Initiatives.
We extend Sacred Hospitality and hold space, as we open our hearts and hands to help facilitate an invitation to all to an abundant table which embodies God's amazing grace and extravagant generosity. All are welcome.
May ordinary moments become extraordinary!
May you have joy. May you have peace.
May you have comfort and love.
May you have direction and wisdom as you discern, connect, and engage in this journey.
May you have safety, protection, and healing.
Together we stand on the promises.
Blessings as we hold you close in our thoughts and prayers for this week.
