GETTING READY FOR THE BATTLE

The Gospel Armour (Ephesians ch 6 v10-18 )

1) When you follow Jesus, , you're in a spiritual fight

Cause Satan is your enemy, you need fight with all your might.

And as a Christian Soldier, God equips you to prepare

Put on the Gospel Armour, for your mind and heart to wear

2) First there is the BELT OF TRUTH, that keeps your mind so strong

For when you know God's Word is true, you'll gladly march along

3)The Breastplate protects your heart, from weapons that could
hurt

GOD'S BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, does the same; Protects
from Satan's dirt



4)The HELMET OF SALVATION protects your mind and brain

For Salvation gets you to Heaven, where You have a Crown to gain.

5) The SHIELD OF FAITH, the Bible says, protects from Satan's Darts
For If you believe why Jesus died, it protects our faithful hearts


6 )With Feet shod in the GOSPEL OF PEACE, peace sets your mind
at rest.
When Jesus died and rose again, That Peace is sure the best!!

7) The SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, God's Word the Bible, you can easily
abuse.
But if you read it every day, is the best way you can use.


8) But God give two more instructions that you should really keep
To fight our evil enemy who does not ever sleep.

9) BE ALERT , be on your guard, always be aware
Temptation comes in many forms and can come from anywhere.

10) A soldier when in Battle, should talk with his command
God says PRAY,,,just talk to God, a really good demand.


11) So now you have the Full Armour of God to protect you from all
sin

Be sure to wear it every day, because only then you'll win

"I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE (John 6v 22-71)

When Jesus said "I am the Bread of Life ,just exactly what did He
mean??
You'll find the answer in the O.T in Exodus chapter 16
God's People escaped Egypt, to go to the Promised Land.
But in between those two places ,a desert full of sand.

The people were not happy ,their faith in God did slip
God ,not pleased, turned their journey, into a 40 year camping trip!!
However they were still His people and He provided without fail.
To deliver bread every day ,brought to them by Quail.

This bread provided food every day during this strife
But what it didn't do,,,was give Eternal Life.
Cause as God's People wandered and ate that precious bread
Many never reached the Promised Land,because all of them were dead.

So when Jesus made the statement that he was this special bread.
Anyone who believed in Him will have nothing left to dread
For He was telling all the people what they all wanted to know.
Eternal Life came through Him...It was the only way to go

BRINGING COMFORT, PIECE BY PIECE
In a land called the Philippines, there's an item they hold dear,
And right here in this land ,we have that same thing here.
Bathroom Tissue, Washroom Paper, the names all mean the same,
But in that Island paradise. a so much nicer name.

There ,it's called Comfort Paper, a name which seems more true.
Because comfort's good for everyone, including even You.
Bullied, Sick, Lonely, Sad or perhaps some other need.
Comfort is what your friends/parents do bring, through many a
good deed.

This Comfort Paper that you have, you use it piece by piece.
And every time you use it, that comfort does not cease.
Now you are thinking, a really strange poem indeed.
But there's a reason why it's here, for in the Bible you'll read

Second Corinthians 1 verse 3, here is what you see.
God is the God of Comfort and from worries sets you free.
And because He gives to you, God wants from you the same,
To give to others, piece by piece, that comfort in His name

When your problems seem big (1Samuel17v1-51)

Goliath was tall, David was small
And the big man laughed aloud.
How would you feel if you were David,
In front of that mighty crowd?

Goliath had sword and spear, David had just a sling
But in his heart he had God, he needed nothing else to
bring.
Goliath moved forward, David did too.
Face up to your problems, God helps you through.
David swung the sling, Goliath he just fell
Problems fall away, when to God you do tell.

Yes! David was small, but he stood tall
Because in God he did trust.
When you are alone and of you, others make fun.
Your trust in God is a must.
