Cornwallis Reformed Presbyterian Association

Cornwallis Reformed Presbyterian Association The Church and Cemetery are located at 4953 Nova Scotia 221 in Grafton, N.S. It was built 1842-43 in what was then the Township of Cornwallis, hence its name.

The Association was formed to preserve the church and cemetery of the Grafton Reformed Presbyterian (Covenanter) Church (formerly called the Cornwallis Reformed Presbyterian Church) in Grafton Nova Scotia. Between 1842 and 1929 two men, both born and educated in Ireland, served this congregation: Dr. William Sommerville (1842-78) and Dr. Thomas McFall (1880-1929). From 1930 until his death in 1961

, Dr. Robert Park served the congregation while a summer resident in Harbourville. After his death the congregation was dissolved. This association was later formed to care for the church and cemetery and to carry on services in the Covenanter style.
