A Prayer for all volunteers of St. Mary’s Parish, Beaverlodge

Gracious God, we celebrate with grateful hearts all who have answered the call to serve the community through acts of love for their neighbour. We recognize and honour the diversity in tenure among our volunteers, giving thanks for those who have served for weeks or months, those who have served for years, and those who have served for decades. We recognize and honor the diversity in gifts and types of service. Grant each of us a sense of belonging, an awareness of God’s love, and an enlarged vision for loving our neighbours. May we continue to contribute to the mission of St. Mary’s Parish as a welcoming place where the gifts of individuals flourish. Amen.

Sunday Nov 13: Collections for Catholic Missions In Canada
Envelopes are available at the entrance of the church for the special collection for CMIC that is to be taken up on Sunday November 13, 2022. CMIC provides financial aid to Northern dioceses in order that they may meet pastoral, catechetical, sacramental and spiritual needs. We encourage you to support generously for this noble case. Thanks.

Thanks: St Mary’s CWL thanks everyone who contributed to success of bake sale last Sunday: the bakers, the Buyers, and all the busy Bees who helped in various ways! Proceeds from the sale amounted to just over $700 for the local CWL council. Thanks!

Annual report of the archdiocese: “The Archdiocese has prepared a new annual report for all of its many churches and peoples. It offers an open and transparent look at the whole of our diocese and its ministries. Within this report you will find a variety of statistics and summaries about our churches, finances and much more.

We ask that each family only take one report for themselves, to ensure enough are available for everyone. If you are not able to get a physical copy or you would prefer to read the report online, please visit the archdiocese’s website – archgm.ca and you will find a digital version of it there.

Copies of the annual report are available at the foyer. You are welcome to pick up
one.

The Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan is looking for volunteers who are willing to drive Archbishop Gerard Pettipas around the archdiocese - to Masses, meetings and special events. The person will be driving the archbishop’s car and accompanying him both to and from his destination.
