By the grace of Allah, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Barrie North Jama’at, hosted its Annual Interfaith Iftar Dinner on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Maryam Mosque in Barrie.

The event brought together members of different faiths, community leaders, and local residents to promote mutual understanding and community harmony during the holy month of Ramadan. The program included a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, welcome remarks and an introduction to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community by local President Junaid Ahmed Saba, and presentations from representatives of the Jewish, Christian, Bahá’í, and Sikh faiths. Missionary Umranul Haq Bhatti also shared a presentation on the significance and spirit of Ramadan.

Mayor Randy Greenlaw of Oro-Medonte and council members also attended and shared a few remarks. Guests had the opportunity to visit the “True Story of Jesus” exhibition and learn more about Islamic teachings.

The evening concluded with the breaking of the fast (Iftar) and dinner. Approximately 215 people attended, including around 40 guests from the wider community. Alhamdulillah, the event received very positive feedback and provided a meaningful opportunity for interfaith dialogue and community engagement.

By the grace of Allah on May 11, 2023, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Barrie organized a historic event to host over 80 school principals from the Simcoe County District School Board at Maryam Mosque, OroMedonte

During the event, we introduced the principals to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and the history of Maryam Mosque. We also gave a presentation on Islam and Ramadan, followed by a Q&A session to answer any questions they had.

The event concluded with refreshments, networking, and the distribution of gift packs.

We are very excited to announce that Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association | Barrie Chapter organizing 1st ever 𝗥𝗨𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗘 on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 (9 AM) at Centennial Park Barrie Waterfront, in support of 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗞.

Our goal is to help the local community Food Bank and be there for the people who are in need. The Run brings out serious and casual runners and walkers from all across Barrie. Participants come with their families and enjoy the festivities of the day.
