Easter Sunday saw Moira and Pat delivering over 100 Easter cards to the Long Term facility of Roberta Place, Essa Road, Barrie. Ryan was such a wonderful help, pulling Pam out of her room for this photo op. She was thrilled to be able to participate and receive her own Easter card that was prepared by one of our generous ladies who attend Barrie Women's Connection. Putting smiles on the hearts and faces of the residents of this facility is a project that our attendees were more than excited to help with. We left Ryan to choose some helpers (and Pam said she'd be one) to deliver the rest of the Easter cards during an afternoon hot cross bun get-together later in the day. Happy Easter, everyone!!

Every heart was filled to overflowing at our March BWC outreach event this week. So many ladies dressed in a bit o' the green to celebrate our tribute to St. Patrick's Day. But, when Carrie Neuman shared her faith story, "Looking Up", we were all simply blown away!! Her relateable, powerful message inspired, humbled, and taught every one of us. It never ceases to amaze me how God shows up and fills us with his exciting, faithful love. If you're able, why not join us next month, April 9th? Another exciting, God-filled afternoon will surely capture your heart. See ya then!!

We were so excited to have Lilla Wallisch and Logan Meadows from FURRY FRIENDS, Barrie, as guests at our February outreach event. We were even MORE excited to be able to present their charity with a $300 donation cheque. Our attendees have been so generous with their givings. Thank you to each of them and to our God who gave the inspiration to do so.

The ladies of Barrie Women's Connection are to be congratulated on their fundraising efforts! Three local charities were recipients of a generous cheque donation during our February outreach event. Representing Redwood Park Build, Danielle Gaucher stands with BWC chair, Pat Guinn, smiling happily while holding the cheque for Redwood. Furry Friends and the Elizabeth Fry Society each also received an equal amount in the form of a cheque donation. Well done, BWC attendees!! Your generosity has been noted by our God.

Our June event was amazing with a number of ladies choosing to regale us with their summer attire. Thank you, ladies, for rising to the occasion and making our event so much more summery! And thanks to Suzanne Baresich, who wowed us with her "Celebrating Life" powerpoint presentation and a voice that made all of us sit up and take notice!

Our Barrie Women's Connection ladies diligently and caringly donated 85 pounds of food items to the Barrie Food Bank yesterday after our regular monthly outreach event. We are a small group, but a caring one. Thanks to Lisa and Sandy for transporting the bags and boxes of goodies to their grateful destination.
