Matthew 18:6–9 | Guard Your Heart and Your Steps

Jesus gives a serious warning about causing others especially those who are young or vulnerable in faith to stumble into sin. He teaches us to take sin seriously and to remove anything from our lives that leads us away from God.

Our choices matter. The words we speak, the example we set, and the influences we allow into our lives can either strengthen faith or weaken it.

Protect your heart, choose what is right, and be careful not to become a stumbling block in someone else’s walk with God. True discipleship means being willing to turn away from anything that draws us into sin.

Is there anything in your life that is pulling you away from God or leading others away from Him?

Matthew 18:1–5 | The Greatness of Humility

The disciples asked Jesus who was the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus called a little child to Him and taught them that unless they changed and became like little children, they would not enter the kingdom of heaven.
True greatness in God’s kingdom is not about power, position, or recognition. it is about humility, a teachable heart, and childlike trust in God.

Jesus reminds us that those who humble themselves will be lifted up, and whoever welcomes a child in His name welcomes Him.
God is not looking for people who want to be the greatest in the eyes of the world, but for hearts that are humble enough to depend on Him.
Am I seeking recognition from people, or am I learning to walk humbly before God?

Matthew 17:24–27 | God Provides in Unexpected Ways

When Peter needed to pay the temple tax, Jesus told him to cast a hook into the sea. In the first fish he caught, Peter would find a coin sufficient to pay the tax for both of them.

God’s provision may come in ways we never expect, through places we never imagined. When we cannot see a solution, we can still trust His wisdom, power, and perfect timing.

Sometimes God does not show us the whole plan; He simply asks us to take the next step in faith.

Are you trusting God to make a way, even when you cannot see how He will provide?
