A Final Note From Jason Grills to our Campus Church Family:
It's been an honour to serve families as your worship pastor. (Yes, I've finally accepted the term of 'Pastor' that Pastor Laird has lovingly bestowed on me for all of these years!). And who except God knew that my 'I'll give you 1-year' would turn into 6.5 wonderful years of ministry?!
It's been a privilege to serve alongside my dear friend Pastor Laird, and with all of our amazing staff, our Board of Elders, and all of our incredible families at The Campus. I've been blessed with incredible memories of worship with our band, tech team, and families through 330+ worship services, Christ-centered teaching from our Pastors, hundreds of staff meetings that formed vision through prayer and collaboration, hundreds of worship band rehearsals, dozens of celebration events (pizza parties, Christmas parties, off-site gatherings with our volunteers and staff over food, prayer times, and much laughter...and I am now blessed with friendships with so many of you that will last a lifetime.
As I transition from ministry back into the business world, I will pray often for God to continue to bless our church in the countless ways that He has, and I will look forward to attending on Sundays and sitting beside all of you in our services and events.
Thank you for graciously showing me your appreciation this past Sunday (and in your many emails, cards, notes, texts and phone calls). I'm humbled and grateful, and blessed to do ministry and life with you all.
In a world that so often feels like it's going in the opposite direction of God's desire for us, may I encourage you to continue faithfully in your worship moments at home, on the go or in the car, and together on Sundays at church, with this verse and instruction from God's word in Hebrews 12:28: "Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping Him with holy fear and awe."
Praying God's best for each of you - your friend, (Pastor) Jason.
