Atlin Family Church

Atlin Family Church Atlin Family Church mission is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up The Church, The Body of Christ. Pastors, Dale & Rena Mae McDonald

Hello we are Dale & Rena Mae McDonald Pastors at Atlin Family Church. We are looking forward to meeting you & helping you reach your full potential In Christ! Our Story

Atlin Family Church, Pastors Dale & Rena Mae McDonald look forward to meeting you.

Let us introduce ourselves. We met in grade 5 & Dale soon realised that Rena Mae was set apart from the other girls. At 10 years old God introduc

ed us, first as friends & later in grade 10 we started to realize we wanted to get to know each other in a deeper relationship though dating & eventually getting married Oct 1/1983.

We both gave our hearts to The Lord at a young age but we reaffirmed our faith in Jesus in a denominational church. Although we met many wonderful church family members it did not feel like home for us. We felt God leading us to a deeper relationship with Him & apart from a denominational structure.

Over the years we attended several churches & found our home in churches that taught faith in God & His Word. In 1999 after attending a faith focused church in Valleyview, AB we felt called to Calgary Bible Training Center graduating with honors in 2000.

The call to the north was realized in 2003 at which time we moved to Whitehorse, Yukon.

Our time in the north has been sharing what we had learned in bible school while working in our various business or management positions in Whitehorse (& briefly in Prince George, BC). When in Prince George, we soon realised it would be a short stay. The Atlin journey began as we moved back from Prince George March 2024. We truly missed the north & were excited to come home! Atlin is such a beautiful location & community to call home.

To be honest we did not know the extent of the plan of God in coming back to the northwest. God began to reveal His plan during the summer of 2024 & we are excited to take the next step with Him with Atlin Family Church, a new church plant.

Atlin Family Church is a Christian, non-denominational -faith teaching ministry that is word based. A community where you can feel at home & ask questions without being judged. A place that gives you room to grow & build your personal relationship with Jesus. We believe every human being has a different journey in life & that is OK. What determines your destination is determined by your life choices. Having a personal relationship with Jesus puts you on the path of life! The sooner we find Him the sooner real life begins!

We believe that we are what God’s Word says that we are. We can have what God’s Word says we can have. We can do what God’s Word says we can do! We are part of The Body of Christ instructed to continue the ministry of Christ with other believers in Atlin. BC & Yukon.

“I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 NLT

“Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 17 These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. 18 They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.” Mark 16:15-18 NLT

12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! John 14:12-14 NLT

Fear is not just a feeling - it can be the hidden force keeping you stuck, stalled, and second-guessing the next step God is asking you to take. Pastor Dale McDonald breaks down why hesitation happens, where fear comes from, and how to stop letting it delay your dreams, your progress, and your calling.

If you have ever sensed fear rise up around a major decision, a new opportunity, a career move, a relationship step, or a God-given direction that felt bigger than you, this message is for you. Pastor Dale shows why fear can show up even when you already have heard from God, and why the real battle is often in your mind.

You’ll discover:

Why fear is described as a spirit and how it works through deception and lies

The difference between fear that paralyzes and faith that moves you forward

How past experiences, expectations, and the people around you can amplify hesitation

Why speaking God’s word out loud matters more than silently hoping fear goes away

Practical scriptures you can use when fear feels like a mountain in front of you

Dale also shares a powerful picture of fear as an anchor and faith as a sail, plus memorable biblical reminders from Romans 10:17, 2 Timothy 1:7, Hebrews 11:1, Mark 11, and other passages that show how to resist fear with truth, not just positive thinking.

This episode is a strong fit for Christians who know God is leading them but feel stuck at the edge of obedience. If you need courage, clarity, and a biblical strategy for overcoming hesitation, this teaching will help you recognize fear, reject it, and move forward with confidence.

Perfect for anyone who is tired of overthinking, ready to break a cycle of delay, and hungry for the faith to take the next step.

🏔️💜 Fireweed and waterfalls — reminders that God created everything beautiful!

John 1:1-4 NLT
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

All creation points to Jesus — the One who created it, sustains it, and gives it life. 🌊🌸

I am excited to conclude my 4 part message on this Sunday at 10 AM PT. If you missed the first 3 parts please go back & watch those first! 🙂 Who Do You Say I Am?
# # # The Danger of Misplaced Trust
Relying on personal experiences or opinions rather than the Word of God can be detrimental. Pastor Dale warns against the mindset of believing we have life figured out based on our limited understanding. When we choose to ignore the truth of God’s Word, we risk living in willful ignorance, which can significantly impact our spiritual journey and relationships with others.
# # Aligning Your Belief System
Our belief system is foundational to our lives as Christians. Pastor Dale stresses that our beliefs will determine not only our earthly existence but also our eternal fate. It’s crucial to base our beliefs on the truth of Scripture rather than personal experiences or societal norms. Only by doing so can we ensure that we are living in accordance with God’s will for our lives.
# # # The Ripple Effect of Our Beliefs
Misguided beliefs can have a ripple effect on those around us. If we are not aligned with the truth, we may miss opportunities to be a blessing to others. Pastor Dale encourages us to seek authentic relationships and to share the truth of God’s Word with those in our lives.

Who do you say I am? Part 3

That question isn’t just a biblical one — it’s so personal, so crucial to our lives today.

In my journey, I’ve learned that belief isn’t about titles or labels. It’s about knowing Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the Living God — not just what I’ve heard, but what I’ve personally experienced through revelation.

When Peter declared Jesus, as the Christ, it shifted everything — his purpose, his destiny. That same revelation can do the same for us.

It’s the foundation that opens the door to all God’s promises: healing, provision, peace, and true relationship.

But here’s the truth — if we get it wrong, if our perception of Jesus is based on misinformation or misunderstanding, we can shut the door on those blessings. Our belief system, what we really know in our hearts, determines what we receive from Him.

So, I ask again — who do you say Jesus is? Because your answer affects not just today, but your eternity.

Knowing the truth of who Jesus really is, deep in your heart, is the most important thing you can do!
