s to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Our Vision Commitments:
Athens Christian Reformed Church, as servants of the Lord commit to:
— Teach and shepherd youth and young children
— Encourage and equip young adults, middle aged and older people
— Be a light in the community, proclaiming Christ’s love to all
— Encourage worship of many age groups and worship preferences
— Be a network of prayer and fellowship, encouraging and celebrating with others
Core Ministry Values:
Every ministry of the Athens Christian Reformed Church shall carry out the work of the Lord with the following values:

Strategy/Goals:
1. Develop a men’s Bible Study or Fellowship Group – possibly online
2. Maintain and nurture the Sunday School and Youth programs
3. Maintain and progress the prayer network
5. Hold regular (possibly once-a-month) outreach services that are geared to ministering to people in the community
Implementation
— At least once a year council reviews and recommits to the mission-vision statement
— Leaders of groups will review and recommit to the mission-vision statement at least once a year
— Committees will review and recommit to the mission-vision statement at least once a year
— All leaders and committees (including council) will be encouraged to read the mission-vision statement at every meeting.
— Read the mission-vision statement during special commissioning services
— Continue to display the mission-vision statement in the bulletin, on the projector and on the website.
— Create a pamphlet that will advertise our programs
— Create a welcome package for new visitors
— Work on the strategies and goals
