Today is Mother’s Day.
And somehow the world keeps spinning
while so many hearts quietly ache beneath it.
Some women will wake up celebrated.
Some will wake up grieving.
Some will hold babies in their arms.
Some will hold memories instead.
Some will hear “Mom!” shouted from little voices down the hallway.
Some will stare at phones
wishing for one more call from the woman who once knew them best.
Today will be beautiful for many.
But for many others,
it will feel tender.
Heavy.
Complicated.
Because motherhood is not one story.
It is the woman rocking her newborn at 2 a.m.
and the woman crying in the shower because she misses her own mom.
It is the grandmother missing the babies who grew up too fast.
The mother who lost a child.
Copied from a friend:
The daughter who became a mother without guidance.
The woman longing to become one.
Today, flowers will be handed out.
Photos will be posted.
Tables will fill with laughter.
But quietly, all over the world,
there will also be women carrying invisible heartbreak.
And maybe that’s what makes mothers so resilient.
Because even with broken hearts,
they still show up loving.
Even exhausted, they nurture.
Even grieving, they give.
Even when nobody sees the weight they carry,
they keep carrying it anyway.
So if today hurts a little,
you are not alone.
And if today is joyful,
hold it gently for the women who are surviving it differently.
Because Mother’s Day is not just about perfect pictures.
It is about the sacred, unseen love
women pour out every single day
often at the cost of themselves.
And I think Heaven sees that.
I think God sees every quiet sacrifice.
Every tear wiped before little feet hit the floor.
Every prayer whispered over sleeping children.
Every ache hidden behind a smile.
Today is Mother’s Day.
And whether you are celebrating, grieving, longing, healing, or simply trying to make it through the day…
may you know this:
Your love has mattered.
It still matters.
And it always will. ❤️❤️
Happy Mother's Day
