Our Lady of Assumption Church The Parish of Notre Dame de L'Assomption, founded in 1786, is the oldest parish in the diocese of Antigonish.

The first church was built in 1786, and the present church replaced it in 1837.

OLA Cemetery News: After many faithful years of service, our lawnmower has finally gone to mower heaven.
Instead of buying a flock of sheep to keep the grass down, OLA Cemetery purchased a new lawn tractor. We ask
that parishioners, anyone with loved ones buried in our cemeteries and/or benefactors at large please consider
donating towards this necessary purchase…every little bit helps! Thank you
