A little late getting this post up, but we wanted to send a big thank you to this crew right here! They worked tirelessly one hot day this past July. We had a large tree that experienced some damage in a storm and needed to be taken down asap.
A big thank you to Cole Elliott Tree Services for your diligent work.

Also a big thank you to North Kawartha Council for your generous support and for making this project feasible.

Mark the calendar - Spring Arbour Day / Cemetery clean-up day will be Saturday May 3 2025. With a rain date of Sunday May 4.
We will be starting at 9am on the Saturday.
In light of the recent ice storms, we recognize everyone has been busy with yard and road clean up. We appreciate any help onsite that you're able to give.

Thank you to those who donated to our scrap metal bin. Going forward immediately, we have decided to discontinue this as a fundraising means. The scrap metal drop-off will no longer be available. At this time we have no future plans to implement another bin at a different location.

On behalf of the Committee we wanted to thank everyone who has donated to the scrap metal bin so far. All Donations and support have been greatly appreciated!

We do however would like to remind you all that the bin is for * Scrap Metal Only * and is not to be used as a garbage dumping site. The bin is sitting on private property and we all need to respect this and to keep the site free of garbage.

Thank you again for the support.

Want to help support your local cemetery? Did you know that cemetery budgets are generated through fundraising efforts and community support of volunteers?

To help with this, the Lasswade Cemetery Committee has set up a scrap metal drop-off @ this address: 397 County Rd 504, Apsley. Look for this sign at the end of the driveway! We will have this available all season, in to the Spring.
