Attention all North Kawarthans! The funeral service for Darlene Doxsee is this Saturday April 23, 2022 at 1pm at the Apsley Community Chapel on McFadden Road. The reception will follow across the road in the banquet hall at the North Kawartha Community Centre (NKCC). We know that so many folks would like to attend the service and support each other in our time of grief. We also know that many are concerned about gathering with large groups of people right now. I am working with Pastor John Trotter and Township staff so we can do a live broadcast of the service on my Mayor Carolyn Amyotte page. The NKCC has set up a large screen and arranged well spaced seating in the arena for those who would like to attend or watch but don't have facebook. Perhaps other folks and groups can also share the broadcast. Please spread the word and share with those who aren't on social media and let them know that we are working hard to make this as inclusive and accessible as possible. I can picture Aunt Dar shaking her head at all this fuss over her LOL! I also know that she would be doing the exact same thing for any other community member who was as well-loved as her!❤️
