On Sunday, September 13 we begin a new sermon series studying the book of Esther! Even though God is never mentioned by name in this book, He is active at work in Esther's story to fulfill his purposes. Throughout this sermon series, each reading of Esther will also be accompanied by selected Psalms, which we will read from scripture and sing as a hymn.

Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM or tune into our livestream to hear Pastor Mark preach from Esther 1 and Psalm 75:1-10.

One week to go until our 50th Anniversary celebration! Join us next Saturday, June 27th for our Open House Potluck Dessert Social from 5:30-7:00pm. It will be a time of fellowship and to connect with four of our former pastors. Members are asked to bring their favourite dessert to share. A special anniversary program will follow in the sanctuary at 7:00pm.

Then on Sunday, join us for our celebration worship service led by our former pastor, Rev. Bernie DeJonge. Cake, refreshments and lunch will follow the service. We are asking members to bring their favourite salad to share. And don't forget to bring your lawn chairs! Please spread the word; we'd love to see former members and friends of the church in attendance. For more info you can connect with Irene Veldhuis, Lois Verboon, Hans Mulder or John VanderLaan.

In June of 1976, our church began worshiping together as a congregation, which we named Ancaster Christian Reformed Church. After meeting briefly at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and Ryerson United Church, we purchased land in 1978 to build a place to call our own.

While these photos tell the story of a building, they point to something greater: God gathering and sustaining His people in Ancaster, working through His Word and Spirit to grow faith, shape lives, and send us out in service. Now, 50 years later, we celebrate God’s faithfulness through every season, trusting His leading as we continue to follow where He calls.

Join us for our 50th anniversary worship service on June 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM, with former pastor Rev. Bernie DeJonge preaching God’s Word from Luke 4:14–22. All are welcome: former members and pastors, friends, and anyone connected to our church over the years. Lunch and cake will follow the service!

The Heidelberg Catechism was written nearly 500 years ago, but it begins with a question that still speaks to us today: "What is your only comfort in life and in death?"

Its answer points us to the good news that we belong, body and soul, in life and in death, to our faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

This summer, we'll be exploring the Heidelberg Catechism alongside Scripture in our sermon series, "Comfort and Joy." Join us this Sunday as we begin this series together, with Pastor Mark preaching the gospel from Psalm 146 and teaching from Heidelberg Catechism Lord's Day 1.

This Sunday, we want to thank all of the many volunteers who keep our church running! To show our appreciation, council members are serving ice cream to the congregation after the service. Take a moment this Sunday to find a volunteer and say “thank you” for all they do!

This Sunday, May 24, we celebrate Pentecost — the day the Holy Spirit was poured out on Jesus’ followers and the Church was born.

What’s incredible is that God no longer dwells only in a temple, but in his people. Through the Holy Spirit, God is with us, in us, equipping and empowering us to share the hope of Jesus with the world.

Join us as we celebrate the presence and power of the Holy Spirit together!

We had a great year in our GEMS girls program!

Some highlights included starting the year with a campfire kickoff, participating in a service project for Regina’s Place, and spending time in the workshop with the Cadets leaders.

Throughout the year, the girls enjoyed crafts, activities, and breakout groups as they learned about Jesus through this year’s theme: “Walk on Water.” We look forward to welcoming everyone back to GEMS in the fall!
