It's beginning to look a lot like Kids Camp, everywhere you go.. There are trees in the gym foyer, and more in the hallway, and a Story Tent where kids will learn and grow..

Staff and volunteers have been busy all week preparing for Kids Camp starting on Monday! A special shout out to Karin Willms who has been putting in many volunteer hours this week helping with decor. More prep is happening tomorrow—it’s gonna be a good week!

Our two summer interns Ash and Naomi have been arts-and-crafting up a storm getting ready for Kids Camp, August 10-14! (Older kids and adults can get in on the fun too by volunteering!).

The theme for the week is Operation: Restoration! Your kids will be menders of the universe!
But, you think, they’re just kids! How can they be menders of the whole universe? At Operation Restoration, they will practice being universe menders, because that’s exactly how God made all of us. Your kids have been given the power to feed, heal, forgive, pray, and rest—essential tools to join Jesus in repairing all that is broken in the world. We are so excited to have our friends at give new life to the garden boxes outside our gym this summer! They are using them to teach individuals how to grow vegetables, as a part of their Community Living program. They've also designated two of the boxes as open to the public to harvest as they wish. Keep up the good work, everybody! 👨‍🌾👩‍🌾🌼🌼

Our new sermon series for the summer is “The Significance of Small.” We’ll be looking at the stories of some people from the Bible who don’t often get a lot of attention—some are not even named in the text. They are all “small” in the sense that they are often behind the scenes, yet through their faithfulness their small acts become significant in God’s story.

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at the tale of Tamar: A Feminist Foremother. Our service starts at 10:30AM. There will be supervision provided for kids in the library during the service, if desired.
