Holy rhythms help shape and form a holy people set apart for a holy God.

“And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Worshippers…the ability to lead the room begins in the secret place.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.“ John 10:27 NKJV

Worship is a response of the revelation of who God is to you. We can’t rightly worship who we don’t know.

Being rooted and grounded in the Word of God is essential in our daily life as worshipers of God.

“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.””
‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭NASB

Some practical ways to help shepherd your worship team. 🐑

Your responsibility isn’t only to facilitate your team. It’s to shepherd & disciple your team into who God has called them to be.
“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, [a] which he bought with his own blood.” Acts 20:28 NIV

Are you shepherding your team or just scheduling your team?

If you’re at a mega church, you might have the luxury of wearing one hat. For the rest of us, we’re usually wearing multiple hats, doing our utmost to steward well what the Lord has entrusted to us.

But somewhere between scheduling, setlists, rehearsals and Sundays, we can’t forget that we’re shepherding people.

Shepherds lead, tend (nurture) and feed.

In a day when spiritual formation is often lacking, it’s incumbent upon us to help shepherd our teams in who God has called them to be.

We have a follow-up post coming with the HOW.

What God has called you to, He has graced you for.

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

WORSHIP & THE WORD
60-second devos for worshippers

This season, we’re journeying through the Psalms with pastors and worship leaders from around the world.

We begin with Psalm 1 & 2.

The Hebrew title for Psalms, Tehillim, means “praises.” Yet the book of praise begins with a foundation: the life of the worshipper, rooted in the Word of God.

What we sing must be shaped by what God has said.
