Give your problems to the Lord

Read John 14:13–17, 25–27

Do you sometimes have so many problems you don’t even know how to handle them? If you’re safe, you have a perfect helper– the Holy Spirit. He even understands your thoughts and has the power to solve every problem. Turn your problems over to him, and trust him to meet your needs.
First Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him, before he cares for you.

Jesus gives Real Joy

Reads Psalm37:16–23

Have you learned that being smart or good looking or having lots of money doesn’t bring happiness? Do you have a spark in your life – do you know Jesus is Xavier? If not trust him today

Speak up for Jesus

read Matthew space 26:69–75.

Do you hide your Christian beliefs in order to blend it with others, like the apostle Peter did? As a result, he whipped bitterly. Don’t share that experience. Take off the camouflage and stand up for what you believe.

Psalm 75:9.

I will declare this forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.

Memorize scripture

Read Psalms 119:9–16.

Is it a chore for you to memorize Bible verses? The more scripture verses, you know by heart, the more often they will be there to help you live.

Romans 15:4

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Obey God’s Commandments

Read Deuteronomy 26:16–18

Are you an obedient child of God? He loves you so much and wants only the very best for you. Stop hurting him by disobeying. Listen to his word and do what it says. God will be pleased and you’ll be happy to.

John 14:15.

If you love me, keep my Commandments.

Give God your problems.

What do you worry about are their family problems or school problems that make your spirit heavy? Ask God to carry your burdens – big or small – and to fill you with his strength for living.

Ask Jesus to keep you from sin

Read first John 1:18–10; 2:1–2

Do you still find it hard to always tell the truth? Do you try to be kind but sometimes lose your temper? Do you mean to obey your parents right away but sometimes fail to obey at all? Ask Jesus to help you live the way he wants you too. He will help keep you on target.

Are you afraid something bad will happen in the future? Well, you know only what’s happening now, God knows all about what’s out there in the future. He’s ready with whatever help you need.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Be your best for God

Read second Chronicles 12:9–12

Do you want to be your very best for God, or are you willing to settle for less?If you get careless about the things of God, sin can creep into your life. Don’t be satisfied with anything less than God‘s best for your life. Go for the gold.

Colossians 3:2

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Read God’s word

Read second kings 23:1–3.

Are you eager to read letters that come in the mail? Are you also eager to read God‘s letter? Don’t let things like friends, sports, or TV get in the way. Set aside a special time to read your Bible and pray every day.

Second, Timothy 2:15.

Do your best to present yourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
